This is, by far, the best Buenos Aires Tango guide! If you are new to the world of tango in Buenos Aires this is a "must read". Ms. Romero provides wonderfully useful insight from the world of the local "milongueros": how to prepare for your trip to BA, what to expect from the local tango scene, what to do and--more importantly--what not to do!

While most, if not all of us tango lovers, are fattening our prose with the lyrical experience of tango, Migdalia, equally impassioned about tango, has calmly assembled a practical guide for anyone who visits Buenos Aires. I have not read the book cover to cover but I've met Migdalia and her book and I know it is the first of its kind. I shake my head when I read what guidebooks (Moon & Lonely Planet, say) put in their sections on tango in Buenos Aires. This book was researched and written over a long period of time, during which the writer danced, studied, and truly penetrated the world of tango. A must for any first-timer and an excellent companion even if you've been there. Asi se baile tango!
