Tank grew up without a father figure , which made his life a distructive mess , filled with Anger and Resentment .Know his father wants to reconcile and offers an inheritance and a way out of his former life .
Tank doesn't trust him ,but decides to take this opportunity to help out his ailing mother , but once he finds out he's not only missed out on having a father , but Wealth and Siblings . he's left to stew in his old distructive behavior ...That is until he meets Emma !
Emma was hired to help lure Tank back into his fathers good graces ... by any mean necessary , But with her shattered past starting a relationship , even a fake one , with a man this destructive might prove she's in over her head .Especially once the secrets start slipping to the surface .
Did Tank only take this opportunity for revenge and if that's true where does that leave Emma once he finds out the truth??
Tank has a very hot temper and is quick to judge , but I guess some of his behaviors were justified , because of the way he grew up. I didn't at all like his father or the way he tried to creep his way back into the son he abandoned 's life .
I really don't blame Tank for his reluctance to let his father back in , because if I found out that I had a wealthy father , who didn't give a crap about me and kept the fact that I had other siblings a secret. I think I'd react in the same way.
I did like the romance between Emma and Tank , it brought heat and Heartache into the pages and kept me intruiged as to what might happen next between these two very tortured souls.
While there is certainly an air of mystery to Tank, it wasn’t an intense story. Tank is, for the most part, a very lighthearted and easy read. I did have a few issues that kept me from losing myself completely in the story. The story alludes to Tank’s time in the military as the source of his aggression and fighting, but he never really gets into the specifics with Emma nor do we see any other indicators of lingering trauma from him. Tank has a lot of potential and he certainly has some seriously great qualities, however, I needed a little more emotional depth from him in order to really validate his character. I was also hoping to have experienced more of the emotions while I read Tank, but the plot points that held the most emotional impact weren’t explored in significant depth for me to connect on that level. I was however pleasantly surprised by the twists regarding Tank’s family. I very much enjoyed getting to know them and I’m definitely curious to learn more about each of them as the series progresses. M. Malone did a great job of setting up the series in this book and I do love the concept of Blue-Collar Billionaires. I look forward to the next book in the series, anxious to see how M. Malone’s writing grows and where she plans on taking this series.
4 tank stars!! Emotional and sexy!
Tank has anger issues, and he’s trying to keep that anger at bay. And he’s doing a good job of it until his mother is diagnosed with cancer, and his “father” who he hasn’t seen in years is lurking in the shadows. But he’s having a hard time not beating his dad to a pulp. Emma is the only person he can trust and that can calm him down, but with a billion dollar inheritance hanging over his head. Who can he trust???
This book is so much more than I ever thought it was going to be. I was sucked in and touched by Tank’s story. His and Emma’s love story is beautiful and heartwarming. I’m excited to read what’s coming next in the series!!
