This is where the hero, Tanner, comes on the scene. He is one sexy cowboy. It is easy to love his sense of fair play, his maturity level and his ability to set the sheets on fire!!! He teaches this young Aussie a few things. She on the other hand is a very eager learner! This is their story. It is a great romance and just an all around good story. I love the way she took care of him without his feeling taken care of. Great story, fun read and I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this writer. I am a reader and tis is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 9/15/17
This was a good story. It started out with Evie being so happy to be seeing her boyfriend soon but turned sad when she found that he hadn't been missing her as much as she missed him. But she pulled up her big-girl-panties and made the most out of a bad situation. I liked the strong woman she was. Especially when she was on Tanner's ranch. With her experience of living on a horse station in Australia and being one year short of completing her veterinarian degree, she naturally jumped in and helped with the animals.
Tanner was such a great guy. He had compassion for Evie; helping her out without making her feel foolish about what she had done. I could understand his devastation when he learned that his bull riding days were over after his accident. But with Evie's help, he realized his life wasn't over.
I love cowboy books, especially rodeo cowboys so this was right up my alley. It was well-written and easy to recommend.
The debut is a strong one. Tanner is an all around good guy who seems to almost always do the right thing. If you love the good guy you will want to pick this up. If you like a bad boy then Tanner might be a little boring for you, but I still think you should give him a try :) He is just so genuine and easily won my heart.
Evie is a great female lead who seems levelheaded and kind, even after the discovery she made at the start of the book. She traveled across the world for what she thought was true love to only end up devastated. She could have been bitter. Yes, she was guarded, but she kept such a great outlook even with the turmoil she was experiencing. Tanner steps in to help, because that just seems to be his way, and finds he needs Evie in his corner just as much as she needs him.
I adored watching the romance develop between Tanner and Evie. It was slow and sweet and when they finally come together you can't help but say "Awe". This was a great series start and a quick read. I'll definitely read the rest of the books in this series.
Language and sexual situations (HOT) may offend some readers.
