Whimsical but slightly sad fantasy fable about a young boy and his inept sorcerer grandfather who in many ways epitomizes the way in which science can create suffering by bumbling about with things it does not completely understand.

Meikle uses a subtle touch on this cautionary tale.

At the heart of science is the wonder of nature and the inquisitiveness of a child. Combined they can take us in all the wrong directions as the author skilfully shows in this splendid short story full of misadventure and mayhem.

This is a nice little fantasy story about a boy helping out his Mad Scientist Uncle. Lots of areas for you imagination to fill in, which for me at least, means plenty of opportunities to work some characters or situations like these into my home Pathfinder/Dungeons and Dragons game.

Definitely an enjoyable read before lights out for the day.

This is one of those cases where the author has good ideas, but none of it was ready for the public. A common complaint about self published books is their lack of editing. This is no exception. The stories fell flat for me, and while some had promise, the delivery was bland and uneventful.
