A car kit is just the tip of the iceberg. This setup works well in headphones, earbuds, home stereo. I tested it on every wired speaker I could find...instant Bluetooth connectivity. The built in mic made Bluetooth calls a reality in my dinosaur of a truck. I do use a ground loop isolator in-line to eliminate feedback when the receiver needs to charge but it's a cheap fix to avoid engine whine through the speakers. I can highly recommend this receiver if you want quick connectivity and a cheap update to your existing wired speakers.There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.

This is a simple, easy to use product that works great! I got this to turn my Bose QC25 Noise Cancelling headphones into wireless bluetooth headphones. The only other thing you need is a slim 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio adapter for this to fit the little Bose headphone jack. Build quality feels really good. The matte black is nice, and nothing about this feels loose or low-quality. Auto-reconnect is quick and flawless every time. Battery life is great! I charge this up before a trip, and it easily lasts the 2 flights out and the 2 flights back - usually less than half empty. If I used it continuously, I'm guessing it would last 8 - 12 hours. I highly recommend this for a nice, simple bluetooth receiver! Almost forgot, it works for phone connectivity as well.

This thing is a game changer, and I don't say that lightly. I have the new Iphone 7, and, as we all know, it comes without the headphone jack. I was using the adapter with the aux cable and half the time the Apple cord adapter wouldn't work. I decided to just see if something existed that could adapt my car to Bluetooth, and a quick search on Amazon brought me to this product!
I can't explain how excited I was to get this, and it works LIKE.A.CHARM. It set up immediately in my car, and the audio is great! I'm not playing a lot of loud music in my car, so I can't speak for as to how it reacts with that, but for me, listening to music, audiobooks, podcasts, etc, this thing is AMAZING.
I also appreciate that it shows up on the screen of your phone to indicate how much battery life is left in the adapter before it needs to be charged again.
Easy to pair, easy to use, LOVE it. I have convinced several friends already to go buy it as well.

Received my product sooner than I had expected which is always nice. Love the look. With the size of a matchbox and the weight of a lighter, this is quite the attractive toy. The receiver is pretty simple to connect since there is only 1 button. iPhone 7+ always connects right away as soon as I turn it on. Overall a product and solution to my no audio jack phone. Extremely useful in cases when I want to charge my iPhone 7+ but listen to music at the same time. Battery life is about a little over a week of 2 hr daily commute.
The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was the fact that when used for phone calls, the receiving end states they can barely hear me unless I'm talking directly into the Bluetooth receiver and even then there is a slight echo. I contacted customer support who was helpful in providing additional tips and eventually a replacement. However, it yielded the same results. I would not recommend this as a car Bluetooth calling device but great option for music.

This smaller-than-expected unit plugged right in, Bluetooth-connected the first time, and works very well. It's easy to use, has excellent sound presentation, and is relatively inexpensive (at under fifteen bucks). I'm pleased with the purchase.
Of course, one has to realize that since it hooks in via 1/8" (3.5mm) plug, a simple adapter cord can accomplish pretty much the same thing. But there are some advantages to having cordless and BlueTooth controls right on the unit, which is why I bought it.
There was one time when it lost BlueTooth signal when I went underneath a large bridge. Have no idea why that happened, but the signal resumed as soon as I was out from under the bridge. Very odd that, but that's the experience. Other than that it works fine.

I use this to plug into my AUX port on my BMW E90 as I got a phone that does not have a headphone jack (LeEco Le Pro 3). I also got an Aukey 2 port car charger so that I could charge my phone and this device at the same time. I really like that I can connect to this device and my car's internal bluetooth for phone calls since my car only supports voice audio over bluetooth.
The device works great. Audio quality is excellent - I generally use it to listen to Spotify high quality audio and podcasts and I dare say it sounds as good as connecting a 3.5mm cable from my phone to headphone jack.
I have removed one star because for some reason my phone does not automatically connect to this device when I get in my car. Not a major annoyance since I just have to hold down the play/pause button for a few seconds and it has yet to fail to connect, but still irritating. Note that this could be an issue with my phone.

Great little device. Very easy to setup and connect with my phone. The sound quality is great as well. My vehicle (Honda Ridgeline) will allow my phone to connect with the Honda built in system via bluetooth, but only for phone calls. I cannot play Pandora or other provider through my Honda system. So when I use Pandora, I connect with the TaoTronics device through the auxiliary jack. My Android does allow me to select which bluetooth device my phone calls go through so I can use both connections at the same time. When a phone call comes through, the TaoTronics goes silent while I have my phone conversation. When I hang up, the TaoTronics picks right back up playing music.
One suggestion for developers. Think about having an option for automatic connect with my phone. It would be nice not to have to push the button each time I get in the vehicle. Otherwise...great product! Very pleased.

Got this in July 2016 and I'd buy it again and recommend this to others. I'd say the battery last as long as they say. Keeps a good connection with devices and easy to switch from other device to another quickly. I am having problems with it charging recently, the charge seems to stop charging before its fully charge, i'll know it has stopped because the green light goes out, normally that would indicate charge is complete, but it will only run for couple hours, so now I jiggle the charging cord to get the green light to come back on, i'll do this a few times and the charge will last like when new. I've tried different charging cords and the light continues to go out before its fully charged. So its not the cord.
I do wish it came with a low profile clip built in, so I adding one myself. I can have it clipped to my uniform undershirt on my chest with headphones connected to it and draped around my back and over my shoulders so that I can turn it on quickly and lift headphones out from around the collar area when I take breaks and lunch to listen to music.
Sorry if the review is little confusing...............I hope it was helpful. I'll update post when I've had device for a year...

The product doesn't seem to be poorly built, but it's hard to tell how it will work by feel alone. It has a hard time staying connected, even when fully charged, and after a few minutes of playtime it becomes jumpy and lags. I may have just got a defective unit, but for my application, Ihome, I will just switch to the amazon basic or Logitech Bluetooth receiver. This requires recharging which will just be a hassle for a unit that doesn't move. If you plan on keeping your phone directly on top of the receiver than this will work perfectly, but than I might as well just plug the aux cable directly to the device.

I received my new unit and have been testing it, and will continue to do so for a little while longer. It seems to work better than the other unit, although it does tend to send the audio to the receiver at a lower volume than a standard aux cable would do. So just be aware of this if you use your receiver for music and than output another source from the same receiver, you will need to lower the volume to avoid excessively high volume. I will not change my star review until I have fully tested the new unit.

Really Great !! I turned this on then repacked it and put it away. Somehow when trying to bluetooth a bunch of speakers my Fire Tv kept finding it, but not the others. Now I'm a true BlueTooth idiot !! I can't compare it to many other devices because I haven't had much success. Today I tried again after a month.I charged it up and triggered a search. In less than 30 seconds It was paired, ten more connected. It actually worked!! I was glowing with pride!! So I plugged in some nice headphones and the sound was excellent I have had and have alot of high end HIFI equipment. I was expecting kind terrible static.Not at all,, very smooth and warm. I expected I'd be bothered by the sound and take them off. An hour later,... I realized I was still listening. It just works and performs perfectly. Pretty much covers it. I'm ordering two more for my kids. Great gift! I've had good luck with TaoTronics Bluetooth equipment. It just seems to work better. I highly recommend this product. turned
