Award winning Director Deborah Kampmeier releases TAPE - a must see for every young Actress
Verified purchase
Brace yourself and dare to be fearless, watch Tape, a raw, true account of two young actresses lied to and exploited by a predatory filmmaker. It’s hard to watch the innocence and hope of an aspiring actress walking into slaughter and another who has been almost driven to madness but for her self-resilience. A story far too many women, young and old, in the business know. But there is redemption. We get to see a woke, wounded woman go through the emotional pain of reclaiming her power (some stalking going on for good measure) and transforming herself into her own champion and advocate with a little help from her sisters.

The magic of this film is that it is sensitively written, directed and produced by award winning, multi-talented Deborah Kampmeier, a director filmmaker producer, destined for the Academy Awards.

It's really bad!

It was just bad. Really, really bad. Amateur approach to telling a story we've heard repeatedly in the news. It takes forever to get to the point. Bad acting! My advice would be, don't bother. Unless you need a cure for your insomnia!

A glorious expose of what young talented actresses have to endure in Hollywood Praying on the innocent and open hearted , the director seduces like a bad daddy . The acting is complex, subtle and riveting at times . The mood , the look , the music of Tape is like experiencing a dream but it is all too real . Deborah Kampmeir is a film maker of European taste . She brings her vision of a Hollywood story with a flair of film noir

Cinematography was horrid. This is not an art house movie all POV shoots were out of focus blurt. Pretty much the whole movie was blurry. It took away from the movie so much I stopped watching it. I never rent movies. This was a very bad purchase that I couldn't finish watching and no way to get my money or time back. They win for WORST CINEMATOGRAPHY In a picture 2020. Who wants to sit through a blurry flipping movie. Woo bad. I want my 5.29 back

Great perspective into a world where some members get away with heinous behavior over and over again. It's time more light was shed on these sorts of events and the perpetrators made to suffer for their crimes.

Overall, really great story that captures the very real and twisted truth where manipulation meets sexual assault. The conversations that take place around this film cannot fade away!
