I like Dot. She is a decorated Olympic athlete. She knows hockey and loves the sport. She is a thirty-four-year-old loving single mom. I think it is cute that her daughter, Abigail, pretends to be British because she loves Harry Potter. The girl clearly has taste. I could understand why Theo initially rubs Dot wrong. I like that he is confident and persistent. I love that their kids get along. The two have great chemistry and make a good couple.
I was furious at the woman who approached Dot, Abigail, Sofia, and Serena on their night out. I dislike prejudice, especially when it is against a child. That was just wrong. It’s unfortunate that things like that really happen. I thought it was great when Isabelle asked Dot if she wanted to discuss the difficulties of being in an interracial relationship. The two have some things in common.
I love that Dot moves into the same building as Derrick Andersson and Maggie Charles. I think it is wonderful that Dot and Maggie become good friends. I appreciated that topics were covered from previous books, like Liz and Veikko Aho adopting Trevor’s baby. I look forward to reading where V. L. Locey takes us in her next book in the series.
I love that us readers can see our favorite characters from the To Love a Wildcat Series. I love that this series is center around powerful woman, who kick butt on the ice and off! Dot is the Defensive Coach for the Venom team. She is a single mother, who has to be strong not only for herself, but for her daughter, who I love. She sees the world differently. To me, she is more into books and learning about Britain, where she would love to go one day. Dot takes pride that she has been doing just great without any help anyone else especially a man.
Theo is an ex Wildcat and has his own talk radio show and he is not on Dot's good side at all. They are like Oil and Water. Fire and Ice. Theo is so full of himself. Dot makes the mistake of calling into his show and giving her mind. He realizes who she is and the consequence of her actions is not something she is happy about. Now Dot has to be on "their" show. How will this happen when Dot can not stand this man? Will Theo continue with the male ego he has? Will she see him as something other than a ?? not sure what to put there.
I am looking forward to reading more from this series and seeing what the Wildcats and their wives are up to.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Each book can be read as a stand alone, but the whole series is great, I'm not sure why (like a Lays potato chip) you would only want to read just one. Written as a First Person POV. I'll be honest...I prefer a multi pov and would have loved to have seen Theo's pov throughout this book, but this was still a great read without it.
Theo was a type of character that you would love to hate, but just can't do it. He has a charm about him that lets you forgive him all his sort of sexist and strong opinions. He does deserve a slap on the back of the head a time or two, but then Dot is no innocent when it comes to strong opinions. The banter and arguments between Dot and Theo were comical at times.
I don't consider this to be a firm HEA ending. Not that I don't think they will have an HEA, I believe they will, but it didn't end with the hearts and flowers and bended knees, etc. We have happy people with happy things happening so it does end on a positive, happy note.
