Karissa carries on with school and normal activities while Naz conducts business the way he always has, with a few minor changes. Detective Jameson continues to harass Karissa for information pertaining to Naz.
Naz and Karissa are married . Karissa cannot seem to stop informing people that she is Mrs. Vitale.
In the last book Naz killed Raymond Angelo for shooting Karissa. The family has rules against this type of kill and Naz made a mess for Frank. Therefore, Frank needs a few favors from Naz in order to help bend the rules.
While I loved Naz in the other two books I was disappointed with this book. While searching to become normal and trying to reach his HEA I found the story stagnant. It's not exciting when he is not killing people. While he is still a bad guy he just is no longer acting as a bad guy. It's not appealing trying to settle a bad guy.
Naz is out. "Out only means I can sit on the sidelines, waiting until I get called back into the game." Quote from Naz. Naz is trying not to kill. He is trying to become a better man for Karissa, but he has killed a lot of people still making him a bad person.
The story is stalling for the moment we know is going to happen. The target is waiting to making his move until the end. It's just a matter of figuring out who it is who wants him dead.
Right from the start, our dear friend Melody reminds us of what Naz and Karissa are like together.
" But he's perfect for you. You're both, you know..." She waves toward me, like that's supposed to make sense of it all. "In the words of Meredith Grey, you're dark and twisty, okay: He's all intense and you're all complex and you're frankly weird, okay? You both are. But it's a good weird; you know...it's a mutual weird. Sometimes he scares the hell out of me and sometimes you confuse the hell out of me, and together the tow of you just...you make sense."
Swoon. Absolutely perfect and exactly how most of us feel about the two of them.
What I like about this book is the transition of Naz and Karissa learning how to deal with the life that they have. She pushes him to want to be better. Yet she also embraces the darker side of him when needed. When she knows the "monster" needs to come out. And let's be honest. When that "monster" comes out, it's HOT. We obviously see it in the first two books, but this one really shows just how strong Karissa is. She's in the right mind frame to balance someone like Naz and at the end of the day she does exactly what he needs. To love him for the person he was and for the person that he wants to be.
I also like that we get to see a little bit more to Giuseppe, Naz's father.
Ultimately, I'm standing here yelling at the top of my lungs to GET THIS BOOK NOW! Don't miss another moment with out more of our beloved Naz.

The ending to this series was amazing and made me feel like it was all resolved and the character's I wanted to come out on top did. I loved it and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a page turner. J. W. Darhower is an incredible writer. I have read many of her stories/books and loved them all. Thank you Jessica for an amazing series! I will never forget Ignazio, Karissa or even Carmine, Haven and Corrado. I am hoping for Lorenzo’s story to come someday.
In the third volume Naz and Carissa are more solid and aware for each others' feelings as well as their owns than ever. They know what they want from life and from each other and they are both resolute to make it happen.
A promise must be kept -by Naz- a betrayal occurs, so revenge ensues. Naz is ready to move on, without any other blood on his hands but the obstacles don't leave much hope for that to happen peacefully.
In sum, the storyline has a lot of twists, as well violence, and action, offeŕing the perfect round up to this riveting trilogy.
