It's beautiful, but mine was about 1 size too large actually, so when I measured my navel, it was 38. I was hoping I could use the buckle/fasteners to tighten it, but I had to rely on my actual belt to tighten it to a degree where I felt like the kilt would stay up where it belonged. The fasteners do not tighten it very significantly. So my advice is to order down 1 size for a snug fit. Of course you can always order your size, and then do what I did (use an actual belt to tighten). Oh, and you won't be able to use a regular belt, You have to use a Kilt Belt (not included).
The upside: It's very beautiful to look at. It's a little fragile, so treat it very delicately. I used it to wear to a Renaissance Festival, and it did just fine. This is not a kilt you would wear on a regular basis as it's more designed for a rare occasion (costume dress up). The fabric is good material, but the buckle/tighteners are of cheap design and definitely not high quality (that's the worst part of the kilt is the buckle fasteners).
Overall it's a great kilt, and they delivered it extremely fast! I would recommend pairing this kilt with the Honour of Scotland Kilt Sock Flashes. Very nice!
