Memories are treasures in my life and it was fun to watch Brant remember his and open a connection to his past. I think having these memories strengthened his relationships. He's a smart and interesting character, while Keira is a joy. She's not perfect, which makes her relatable, and it was fun to laugh at her antics and mishaps.
This charming small town is the home of many quirky characters and I loved being a part of the holiday traditions that were rooted in their lives. It was enjoyable to experience Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas season with these residents, as well as dabble in magic and mystery, with a healthy dose of sweet romance. Hoagland has written a definite winner with this opening book in what is sure to be an exceptional series!

It was the perfect story and made me feel happy, carefree, and lighthearted as the book brought back some of my own wonderful memories spent with relatives in New England. It also made me hungry for Keira's scones to see what kind of other memories I might recall. This was a different book for this author to write and I loved it and the people and town of Hawthorne! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
