We meet Bel on the day of her wedding trying her best to keep it together. James is the soccer player that is wrecking havoc on her plans. Add to that a 'merry misfit' including Jame's other 2 brothers and the author has created an interesting story that centers around Bel and James who are thrust together in an attempt to save both of their careers.
I truly enjoyed this story. As I mentioned it could be frustrating especially when the brothers were completely clueless to the messes they were making, but the chemistry with James and Bel was palpable. I've already downloaded book 2 and I can't wait to read more about this family.
The story was so wonderful until I did not get closure and will not do the rest of the series due to that. Closure of each story is important.
It took a while for me to get involved in the story and finally like it. At the beginning there were too many names, too many characters and I felt confused. And I also felt like there was way too many cliches, descriptions, and un-needed euphemisms being thrown around every which way you turned. I also found infuriating how entwined are the brothers' lives, and their reciprocal interferences. It was hard to feel empathy for these childish, immature men, but after a good number of pages, I could appreciate how the author described their progressive metamorphosis to grown up men.
As it turns out, the story did find it's traction right around the 7th. or 8th. chapter, and from there it was smooth sailing all the way til the end. And all in all; it turned out to be a really compelling read, after all.
