The characters, both main and secondary, were well-developed. Annessa was also a likeable character; she was strong yet her vulnerability shown through. And what to say about Casey? He was just sexy period. I loved his characterization and his protectiveness towards Annessa as well as his love for her. The sexual tension was thick between these two & once they got together, it was explosive!
Overall, I highly enjoyed this story by Mia Dymond. Therefore, I would highly recommend this for those looking for a good ol' romance with a pinch of suspense to get lost into. Also, I can't wait to read about Travis and Verity's story. Hope it's the next installment!
She returns home in Georgia from California to be in her sister's wedding. That is what everyone believes. however, this time she is in serious trouble and she is not sure why...yes she witnessed a murder or rather the body after the murder but she really knows nothing beyond that. she is a wedding planner and she was running the wedding day events when she stumbled on the body and 3 guys standing over the body. Did not recognize any of them. And is not sure they even noticed her. however, the wedding was for the daughter of a big mob boss criminal, so anything is possible. she leaves town after receiving her payment for services from the father. It turns out to be a diamond bracelet, not the check she was expecting. She figured it was a thank-you for pulling off the happy event, puts it on and leaves town undercover of a false ID.
SPOILER ALERT---this heroine got on my nerves. #1-She leaves town and goes home to where her identical twin lives, knowing that if trouble follows it is not only her behind that can be in trouble but this never occurs to her.
#2 Once she receives threats, she is going to handle these guys on her own. Now the FBI, local and state police, etc. cannot nail them with anything and they kill for kicks but she, with pepper spray, is going to bring them all down.Read more ›
I liked how Anessa didn't play games when she needed help. She pretty much went right to him and told Casey what was going on. Casey also didn't play games and told her how he felt right from the start. All in all it I like it!
I found the characterization to be good overall. The beginning is confusing but I believe that was intentional. Annessa was awfully calm after having witnessed a murder which sent her running home. I was confused trying to understand if she was there for the wedding or due to the murder. It took a long while to decided it didn't really matter in the end. I believe it would have been better to be clear on that to begin with, would have cleared a lot of things up and wouldn't have been hard to do (says the non-writer).
I loved the relationship between the twins. If only all sisterly relationships were that loyal and supportive. In fact, all the relationships were pretty cool. The four boys raising the twins who really had them all twisted around their finger the whole time, led to some funny episodes.
I recommend this story to 14+ due to adult themes.
all in all this was a great book, starts off exciting from the very beginning.

I enjoyed the book but it would've helped if the author showed us seeing the murder and bracelet. I felt like I was missing a huge part of the story.Published 15 months ago by Jennifer Purdie
It felt as if the author tried to put too much in such a short story. There was too much information about all the other characters and their story, that it took away from the two... Read morePublished 17 months ago by Amazon Customer
