I have been listening to Paul Cooley's podcasts for a while and I look forward to every twisted story he puts out.

being a man of a few tattoos, I was intrigued by the initial title but usually get disappointed when stories about tattoos are written. unlike the other stories, this one actually made me want to be vary wary of who I let know I had tattoos.

this is a damn good read and Mr. Cooley has a way of doing his homework and taking into account what his audience has to say about his stories as they are podcast.

so my advice, get this story then go over to his website and listen to his other stories.

After listening too Paul Elard Cooley's podcast version of 'Tattoo,' I was excited to learn he released it electronically. Podcasts are fantastic for driving and passing time on the treadmill, but there's something about a story like 'Tattoo' that makes you want to curl up in bed and sleep with the lights on after you finish reading.

Cooley's voice is unique and this novella-length story is both gripping and intense. It's like a train wreck at times, so brutal and horrific, you can't look away even as you stifle your gag reflex. If you enjoy suspense-thriller and horror, you do not want to miss 'Tattoo.'

Tattoo by Paul Elard Cooley is an excellent story. The story is gripping and the writing is top notch. I love thriller/psychological horror when it is done well, and Tattoo does that in spades.

"Tattoo" starts quickly and transports the reader, along with the primary character (Jackson), into a strange world of mayhem and body art. As the story unfolds, Jackson learns more than he has ever expected to learn about tattoos, those who create them and those who wear them.

It went all too fast. When I got to the last page of the Kindle version, I had to check to be sure that I'd downloaded it all - I was hoping to follow Jackson through further 'situations' - and was very disappointed that his story was over (for now?).

I suppose that Jackson had only so much to give ...

"Tattoo" is a very solid effort by Paul Cooley - may we continue to receive a steady stream of stories about his crazed and tormented characters from his crazed and tormented mind!

I'll continue to read and listen to his creations - if I don't, I'm sure that he'll find me and take vengeance.

Read "Tattoo" - its not a bad way to spend a dollar.

Tattoo is one of those stories that, pardon the pun, gets under your skin. It drags you by, well, a really tender body part into the world of ink and psychosis. At the end, you desire to be both marked for life and "oh my God I'll NEVER get one of those things!"

I heartily recommend this book. It does what a thriller should do. It thrills.

I liked the writing and the story was interesting. Having said that, it is a pretty straight forward (although nasty) detective story. My problem with the story is that it seemed like it needed another chapter. It stops pretty abruptly and not in a culmination of tension kind of stop,it just kind of stopped.

It's a great little serial killer tale about a guy who collects really cool tattoos, in all the wrong ways. Paul Cooley has a gift for making memorable characters do things you wish you could forget. The problem is once you read it... well you've read it, and you can't exactly forget. TATTOO is a nice icky introduction to his world. It's a crime thriller about a journalist who is on the hunt for a killer, and he gets one step ahead of the cops. The only problem is, how you can gonna stay in front if there's nobody there to back you up? Can he figure all this out in time? And so we have a great set-up for a tense ride through the world of skin art and its more unsavory side effects. This is definitely a book that I would say "I'll buy that for a dollar!" And guess what? I just did, and you should too...
