Mr. Beito's book covers a very important precedent for the upcoming world depression -- namely public Tax Revolt.
However, the author states that the movement was a failure. His views are aptly challenged in Thornton, Mark., and Chetley Weise. "The Great Depression Tax Revolts Revisited." Journal of Libertarian Studies 15, No. 3 (2001): 95–105. (Google journals/jls/15_3/15_3_4 dot pdf.) I suggest that you download that pdf file to compare to the book when or before you buy it.
