Another delightful children's book by talented Author Danna Zadunajsky is based on a real life experience that could occur in anyone's life. This creative technique appears to be the common theme in all of the books in the Tayla series.
Tayla is concerned as she and her mother are about to move to another town and she is reluctant to leave her cherished friends behind. Her mother quickly appeases her concerns by saying that she will have the opportunity to make new friends once they settle into their new home. Much to Tayla's pleasure and relief...upon their arrival...sure enough, they notice a little girl skipping rope nearby. She introduces herself as Kelly and is quite eager to be Tayla's new friend. Tayla is very appreciative and thankful for her new friend, Kelly, and also grateful to her mom for finding a new home for them.
Once again, the illustrations by Judith Bicking in "Tayla's New Friend" add to the reading pleasure. The cover of this children's book presenting Tayla's smiling face while holding up a hand drawn picture of her friend Kelly is very endearing.
