Gracie is a woman in love with the man her first and best friend had become. Taylor is that man -- a former marine, TEAM member, son and grandson, half Indian and have white. This is a story of rape, deceit, prejudice, murder and revenge. It's about a family caught in crisis both in life and in death. It is well written, fast-paced and full of suspenseful action. You won't want to put it down as you get to know these main characters and learn more about beloved TEAM members.

Irish Winters is a natural story teller. Her characters move you, their exciting. You can't wait to turn the page. You can feel the pain and love her characters are going through and her endings are satisfying. Her series of snipers is well written and leaves you wanting to read the next one.

Taylor (In the Company of Snipers) was a huge surprise for me. I have never read the other books in the series, which I am going to remedy, BTW. I didn't quite know what to think at first when Taylor went through what he did...no i'm not going to tell you what happened lol. You have to buy this book and read it. But, let me say, the author came up with a seriously inventive plot twist...definitely one I have never read about before.

I instantly felt for Taylor knowing that he had been displaced from his family, was now out of the military, etc. It seemed that he was wanting to move forward, but had no way to do so. It is also very evident that he experienced verbal, mental, and probably physical abuse as a boy at the expense of his father. So when he is offered the true story to his past and the love of a good woman, his mind instantly rebels. Sometimes its easier to accept what you know than to open yourself up to possibly more hurt. That's what I felt Taylor was going through. I can't say that I agree with the way that the people who loved him got him to listen...that was a little far out to me...but I recognize that there are traditions and values relevant to the story that I may not completely understand.

Ms, Winters really made Taylor a character I wanted to get to know. He had that injured alpha complex...you know the ones all of us ladies want to hug and take care of. :) I'm so glad things worked out for him. I felt bonded to his character from the beginning of the book to the end. The only thing I had an issue with in the book is the way he was taken and treated while going through his ordeal. Other than that, I give Taylor 4 stars. Both the plot and characters were interesting. I look forward to reading more of this series and other books by Irish Winters.

Give me a happy ending, give me the lost but worthy, let love shine and I'm hooked. The Team can just keep expanding with new hires for new stories and I'll be happy. It's another story that u can fall into and know that u will be supported with believable plots and well developed characters. Love having more Harley too!

You all know that In the Company of Snipers is one of my favorite romance series out there. I love the heart of all of Irish's Hero's, their struggles and triumphs, their fight to come home from war and blend back into society. I have ached with them, cried with them, railed against the injustice of it all as I watched their worlds evolve and change while they struggled to move forward. I have seen beautiful strong women come into each of their lives and bring them back from the brink of madness, despair, and heart ache. I have watched these couples fight, kill, and cry for one another. I have watched them love and hate and I have loved each of them for it. Their stories touch our souls and I hope encourage each of us to consider the Soldiers around us. Are the stories in this series exaggerated or a bit over the top, yes, but that is what makes them entertaining. What isn't exaggerated is the feelings and issues that these Soldiers bring back with them and I adore that about Irish's characters. The feelings are raw and real and they suck you in and make you think and feel. Taylor's story while a bit of a departure from the original feel of the series was for me still no less emotional or raw.

While Taylor does have challenges that come from his time in the service it felt like he had a better control over his 'demons' from that time than our past Heroes. Now I think that is simply because he had a life time of misery to live before he ever stepped foot in a combat zone. Taylor is a scarred man, his childhood has left him feeling broken, unworthy, and unlovable. He made me want to let go of Harley long enough to wrap him up in my arms with a kiss to his forehead and softly whispered words of praise in his ear...

I have loved every one of these Sniper books. Ms. Winters makes each one a delectable and unique read. Taylor's book, at least for me, seemed to rely more heavily on psychological angst than the previous books, (although, those certainly have their share!) and getting more deeply inside this hero's brain was a compelling addition to the well-wrought action scenes the author always scatters throughout her stories. I've come to expect, and relish the fighting, but Taylor's complexly drawn character brought additional depth to the already amazing Team. Anyone who hasn't picked up this series should do so now. I can't wait for the next book!
