I want to say that this is for beginners because the tablature is easy to follow. That's what it means by easy guitar is the tabs, which is one note at a time. These are located on the bottom of each verse. Now, if you want the chords, they are listed on top of each verse. Yes, the chords are a little more difficult because you need to know the strumming methods used to get the right sound of the song, unless you are comfortable enough in your music playing to flex it a bit. No matter how you play you're not going to be able to get the exact sound of Taylor Swift's music without a full band.

The chords are listed above each verse and the fingers are clearly listed for the guitar player. You're not going to play with less than six chords per song and one song I know for a fact has ten chords. I learned how to play You Belong With Me using this book and that was my first real song using chords and not tabs. It takes six chords but has the easiest strumming pattern. You can find the strumming patterns at the beginning of the book and these are important unless you can play by ear, sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. The tabs are at the bottom of each verse and they tell you which fret you need your finger on and which string.

So, I'm definitely going to say this is easy guitar, but it's all about knowing what tabs is versus chords and which one is easiest for the person to play. When I first started to learn how to play I used tabs because it was easier to do it note by note instead of chord by chord. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I'm told this songbook has all the songs which appear on Taylor Swift's 'Fearless' album/CD. This is a Christmas gift for my grand-daughter who really likes Taylor Swift and plays guitar pretty well. I'm sure she'll enjoy it.

Easy Tabs make it easy for new guitarist(like myself) to play a song. It is really so easy for you to understand how to play the songs from this book. They give you everything you need from the strum and pick patterns to where to put the capo and how to tune the guitar to match the song recording. It makes a new guitarist feel like they're a pro.

Well since I bought it as A Gift, and had it sent directly to my Niece, I haven't seen a page of the book.I'm hoping that in addition to Tablature the book contains Chord diagrams that are easy to understand. I'm so glad that I was able to find a Taylor Swift songbook with no trouble because I was a little worried that the only thing availible for an 11 year old would be a book with "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "London Bridge is Falling Down" nothing against those songs, but I would like to have her learn songs that she won't have to feel like she's stuck in Pre School Hell. One thing I can positively say is the book arrived before the child size Guitar I bought her. Who knows, If I had bought the Guitar from Amazon, it would've got there at the same time. But that was something I did not want to buy sight unseen. One song I know for sure that a beginner shouldn't have trouble with is Taylor's song "Fifteen" as I know it contains G D C and E minor. (Not nessesarily in that order)(UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE ! ! ! May,11,2013) Well while the book contains the easy to read chord diagrams, They are only displayed once in the song. I personally feel for a beginner anyway, the chord diagrams should be in the music everytime there is a chord change. After all, for someone learning how to play chords, they are still learning how to put their brain on "Auto Pilot". I guess my griping doesn't matter, as my Niece complained that the steel strings hurt her fingers. I guess I should've got her a nylon string guitar. Maybe she'll grin and bare the pain a couple of years down the road.

My daughter learned most of her songs by using this book. With the help of her guitar teacher, she was able to perform at coffee shops and school talents shows using this book.

Learning any instrument takes effort. The guitar tab under the corresponding music is a nice format and IMHO the songs were 'made' as easy as they could be. I'd learn them 1st and then teach my 10 yr old daughter.

This book of Taylor Swift songs was supposed to be "easy" guitar tabs. There's nothing easy about most of the guitar chords in this book. Certainly not for the beginner. Instead go online for free lyrics and guitar chords that anyone can play.

My daughter is learning guitar and is a huge Taylor Swift fan. This book was perfect, and she's inspired to keep going with the lessons with this book in the guitar case.
