A few gripes, but nothing major: A longer probe would have been nice to keep the handle farther away from splatter, etc. Back light would also have been nice. It has no alarm setting/function. The probe connector is some kind of oddball blade connector so it could be hard to match up other probes unless it's some kind of thermocouple connector standard I'm unfamiliar with.

Otherwise it does everything claimed. Used it in a kiln up to 2100F and also in the kitchen for deep fryer monitoring. Pretty quick response to changes in tip temperature. I have come to trust its accuracy over any other thermometer I have.
