First off, I'll let it be known that I'm English. That means I have spent my lifetime drinking lots and lots of tea, which I think is compulsory when you're English. I've had many different types of tea (mostly tea from England such as PG Tips and Typhoo) and when I finally stumbled upon Yorkshire Tea on a trip back home about 6 years ago I've been hooked. This is by far my favorite tea and I drink 3-5 cups of it a day.

Although many reviews say a bag is meant for a pot of tea that is not truly the case. A bag is meant for a single cup of tea. Now, some people may prefer a weaker cup of tea, like my mum who will use a bag twice since she prefers a weaker cup, but one bag is really meant for one cup. Alas, to each his own. I personally like a very strong cup of tea so I use one bag per cup and I allow it to steep for a minimum of four minutes. Then I use a bit of half and half (whole milk at the minimum) and a half teaspoon of sugar. Wallah, the perfect cup.

As for price, well, Amazon cannot be beat! I have searched high and low for this tea and have not once been able to find it for less than what Amazon sells it for in the States.

Grab a cup and enjoy this very fine tea. You won't be disappointed.

If you want an excellent taste and smooth tea without the bitterness and sour after taste-give this quality product a try. As a military man who lived all over the world and tried every indigenous tea. After 3 decades Yorkshire is my first choice.

I grew up loving black tea. Lipton black tea. That's all my mom ever bought.
Then my roommate's boyfriend went to London and brought back REAL black tea.
Now, Lipton tastes like someone took a 20-year-old ash tray, scraped all the soot off of it, mixed it with hot water, and called it tea.
Yorkshire Gold is smooth and dark and yum.
Plus the box says, "Let's have a proper brew," and that sounds pretty legit.

This tea has body. I hate weak tea like Lipton's or other brands made in America. If you like tea that's strong but not bitter, this is a high quality tea. It's expensive to purchase in smaller quantities at the supermarket and it's not always available in local supermarkets. This box will last a long time and is a much better value.

I have lived in the USA for twenty plus years and have come to love the country I now call home, but of all the teas I've tried (and there have been many) I have not been able to find a better tasting tea than Taylors Yorkshire Tea. Truely a great English product, Typhoo and PG tips don't come close. WONDERFUL, try it, cheers!

I'm not English but my mother was so I grew up a confirmed tea drinker. The British often complain that they can't get a decent cuppa in this country. Sadly true!

I spent most of my adult life looking for a tea company that would make the strong steaming cuppa that makes everything better. If you like a good black tea, THIS is the one. I tried Yorkshire Tea for a few years and then discovered Yorkshire Gold and there was no turning back! Even my staunchly American husband wants this tea each day. This is a tea that has substance and an excellent taste. I bought the 160-ct tea bags because I don't want to risk running out, especially now that my husband is demanding a cup of this excellent tea daily. Somtimes he wants it at bedtime to soothe his soul as he does his paperwork after I've gone to bed.

I tried PG Tips, Red Rose, and other prominent English brands but although they were a distinct improvement over Tetley and Lipton teas (gag!), they are no match for Yorkshire Gold. I have found MY tea. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Come to think of it, I believe it's time for a steaming cuppa on this rainy day! Cheers!

Many Americans wonder why the British drink so much tea because when an American drinks tea he usually unimpressed. The secret is in the type of tea. Yorkshire tea has little in common with the bland Orange Pekoe with which most Americans are familiar. Yorkshire tea is rich, full bodied and hearty. I particularly like this brand because I live in an area with hard water, and Yorkshire tea is blended for hard water. It comes from Harrogate in the north country where a good cuppa is needed to take the chill out of your bones but is popular all over England. Try some and see why tea is so popular across the pond.

Finally found my black tea! This makes the best cup of real English tea complete with milk. I've been addicted to English tea for a number of years but couldn't make a proper cuppa tea with American tea. My mornings aren't complete without Yorkshire Gold; until you've tried a spot of real British tea with milk, you haven't had tea!
