Tazo teas and herbal infusions can be prepared either hot or iced. For each enticing cup of hot tea use one bag. Bring freshly drawn cold filtered water to a boil and pour into cup over filterbag. To prepare as an iced tea, place two bags in an eight ounce container and steep as above. Remove bags and pour hot tea into a glass filled with ice.

Tazo Assorted Black and Green Teas and Herbal Infusions includes one or two of each:
AWAKE: plain ordinary black tea, a little bitter
CALM: nice chamomile tea
CHAI BLACK TEA: an okay chai black tea with caffeine
CHINA GREEN TIPS: great green tea experience, Tazo's best, no "natural flavorings"
DECAFFEINATED CHAI: an okay chai black tea without caffeine
EARL GREY BLACK TEA: a disappointing perfumy, intense, black tea experience
LOTUS: decaf green tea with lotus flower, one of my favorite Tazo's
PASSION HERBAL INFUSION: hibiscus-y, intense, caffeine-free, and luxurious
WILD SWEET ORANGE: orange herbal tea, some complex overtones perhaps
ZEN: mild, relaxed green tea
Their ingredients include: black tea, green tea, hibiscus flowers, chamomile flowers, lemongrass, citric acid, natural flavors, spearmint leaves, blackberry leaves, cinnamon, rooibos, ginger root, rose hips, orange peel, rose petals, licorice root, safflower, black pepper, lemon verbena leaves, cardamom, cloves, peppermint leaves, chicory, sarsaparilla root, lemon balm leaf, star anise, and red poppy flowers.
Tazo is an interesting company that makes only super premium teas. They are socially responsible, based in Portland, and have the motto, "The Reincarnation of Tea". Tazo is owned by Starbucks. Their web site is fun and quirky, with a Zen-type focus, definitely worth checking out. It is unclear, though, from their web site, how many of their ingredients are organic or kosher, and they do use some "natural flavors" in their teas--this wording seems a little vague for a super premium tea.Read more ›
Zen: The teabag smelled as if the tea would be nasty, but it was surprisingly okay. It tasted like a mild form of green tea, with a hint of lemon. Thumbs up for Zen.
Calm: This tea is basically chamomile, it tastes really good. It relaxes me.
Passion: My favorite tea, by far. It tastes like some kind of berry drink, almost like fruit punch. I was really shocked with the flavor, it's delicious.
China green tips: Awful. This tastes like grass, I mean it is really awful. My least favorite tea in the box.
Earl grey: Umm, I have never had earl grey tea before, and TAZO did not give me a good first impression. Before brewing, the teabag smelled really good, like black licorice really. However when I took a sip I couldn't stand the taste. I might try another brand of earl grey, I wanted to like it.
Awake: A tasty blend of black teas, what can I say. It is a little bitter if you brew the full 5 minutes, I suggest doing just 3 minutes of steeping time.
Chai: Well, chai is chai, it tasted good. Chai tea lattes have always been my favorite drink at Starbucks, this tea is great.

I use 16 ounces of water and two tea bags for each experience. When you drink these teas you can transcend reality for moments at a time and that is all the truth I need about these teas. Some of these teas even evoke a sense of wonder.
Warning: HIGHLY ADDICTIVE TEAS. Once you taste these teas, you will want to try them all and forever be on a search for new Tazo teas. Fortunately they have enough tea blends to entertain you for years.

Not sure if it's worth the price but I love this tea. They are all great. I would love to get a few of the mint bags and some black tea and blend a tasty iced tea.Published 4 months ago by Misskenj
My complaint here is that the product was just in a big plastic bag...not in boxes like it is sold in stores and pictured in the listing. Other than that - pleased. good variety.Published 5 months ago by Holly C. Blackwell

the tea did not come boxed as shown, but the assorted tea packets were put in a plastic zip loc which I thought unpresentable as a gift.Published 6 months ago by Will
