Tea Infuser Mug - 16oz Travel Tumbler - Store or Steep Tea Inside - Black - We're tumbling head over heels in love with this NEW tea infuser mug from Planetary Design - an infuser mug / tumbler mug designed specifically for the tea lover. A truly ingenious design for loose-leaf tea infusion that completely stops the infusion once pressed. Patent-pending technology and a super-fine mesh filter basket create an incredibly clean brew AND once pressed, completely stops any additional infusion preventing over-steeping and the ensuing bitter tea. The 18/8 restaurant-grade stainless steel, double-walled, vacuum insulation is very durable and keeps your tea hot for hours. The screw-in lid and flip-top cap make spilling your tea virtually impossible and the whole unit is very easy to use. It is perfect for any tea lover that is always on the go!

The cup fits well in my hands (which aren't huge), has a nice (silicone, I think) non-skid surface on the bottom and the body is quite well insulated. Some may consider it too well insulated since I have to flip the cover open if I want the tea to be cool enough to do more than sip in even a couple of hours. Liquid stays warm in this thing! The only part that isn't well insulated is the metal between the lid and the black ring. It seems like it's directly connected to the inner wall of the cup and radiates the heat from inside. It may be uncomfortable for some, but I generally don't hold the cup there so it's not a really big issue for me.
The french press hangs from the center of the lid and does a great job of holding the loose tea. I have very few issues with stray leaves in the tea compared to my last cup. The press lid and plunger lock easily into the cup lid, and when pressed down closes the tea into an area with no holes for steeping. This theoretically prevents the leaves from further contact with the tea you'll be drinking. In practice, the press bottom and walls are NOT all one piece. They appear to be pressed together at various points leaving small spaces that could allow water to move through the tea. The construction of the press is the only quality concern I really have with the cup; hopefully it holds up to years of use.
Overall, this is easy to assemble, disassemble and clean; it keeps tea hot for far longer than I would have thought possible, and it does a decent job of not over steeping the tea. I would definitely recommend it.
