All-in-One Audio System with Full Digital Recording Capabilities
TEAC LP-R550 USB is the ultimate playback and recording solution. This compact system includes Turntable, CD, Cassette, AM/FM Tuner, and a USB audio interface. Transfer any collection to a digital format with the CD and USB computer recording functions. Just looking to play your collections? Fill a room using the quality built-in bass reflex stereo speakers or connect your favorite pair of headphones for a private listening experience.
A Music Time Machine
Convert album and cassette collections into CD format with LP-R550USB. Record CDs from vinyl, cassette, AM/FM or auxiliary input sources. Compilations can be made by dubbing recordings from multiple collections onto one CD before finalizing the disc. CD recording is a simple setup, and source input levels can be adjusted to ensure CD recordings sound great.
USB RecordingConvert collections into digital files using the USB interface in combination with recording software on a Mac or PC. After recording albums, cassettes, AM/FM, or auxiliary sources into a computer as digital files, load them onto a media player and take your recordings anywhere.
The LP-R550USB turntable offers 3-speed selection supporting 33-1/3, 45, and 78rpm (SP) records. A cue lever on the tone arm allows the stylus to be gently placed and lifted to prevent scratching. When the tone arm reaches the end of the record the arm with automatically lift and return to the holder. In the event a needle breaks, there is no need to search high and low for a stylus. Replacements are available for order from TEAC dealers, or directly from their parts department.
Store your favorite FM and AM stations into preset channels 1 to 9 respectively. Find stations easily with Auto Tuning selection or locate them manually. Stereo and Mono selection is available - if an FM signal is weak selecting mono will reduce unwanted noise. AM Loop and FM Indoor antennas are included. In areas where signals are weak, an outdoor FM antenna may be connected to the 75 ohm connector.
Listen to commercial or recorded CDs from start to finish, in repeat single or repeat all modes, in shuffle mode, or using programmed playback. Up to 32 tracks can be programmed in any order using the included wireless remote.
Cassette and Auxiliary
The cassette player is easily accessible, located on top of the LP-R550USB next to the turntable. Stereo RCA inputs located on the back panel make it possible to connect an external audio source for playback or recording. Send audio signals out to external audio equipment using the stereo RCA outputs.

Top customer reviews
This is the best record player on the market. Teac is a company I trust. Our previous antique replica record player by them lasted 12 years before we donated it so that we could get a new system with MP3 and CD recording capabilities.
I discovered burning a record, cassette, or radio station onto CD was super easy. And the sound on that final CD was amazing! Burning to the computer to make MP3s using Audacity software was actually easy after reading the instructions the free Audacity software provides. (Not provided by Teac, but easily found on the internet.) After downloading Audacity you will need to get their plug-in for MP3s. Then you are all set. The sound is good coming out of the speakers, but when we added speakers by Logitec with THX, wow! The record player is wonderful. All of our records play wonderfully on it, old and new. I like how easy replacing the needles will be, and already bought spares. Every aspect of this record player is top notch.
The best part is their warranty. Unlike other manufacturers, Teac's warranty has service locations around the country and I found three near me. So IF anything were to go wrong while it is under warranty, I can drop it off for free instead of paying for shipping and wondering when I will ever get it back like other companies do now. Also, this is made in Japan, which I prefer over China. And the company is located in California. All bonuses in my book.
I wish Teac made an old fashioned record player that does everything this one does that is pretty, but they only have a black one, that is not pretty, so we settled for this one for all that it can do. It is pretty in its own right, I just would have preferred the antique look like we had with our old record player.
I highly recommend this record player. If you are not computer savvy for burning to MP3s, you at least can burn onto CDs very easily. Make sure the CDs you buy are specifically Music CDs so they will play on all your devices and also that they are not rewritable, as that type of CD will not play on all devices. I hope I covered everything and I hope my review helps.
