Oh my goodness, Lola Darling has created a story that is irresistibly stunning.

Harper Reed is studying abroad in England, a place she's visited several times to visit her long time friend, MK. This opportunity is exactly what she's been looking for, a new place for a fresh start.

Jack Kingston isn't looking for anything more than a good time. After several failed relationships, he doesn't believe that a happily ever after is in the card for him. He'll focus on his job and his analysis of some newly found papers that could be written by a very influential person.

A chance encounter in the dark brings these two together, but neither share any identifying information. So when Harper walks into her first class she is stunned to come face to face with the mysterious man that make her heart race like no other. Jack isn't as quick to recognize Harper, but once he does he does everything he can to stay away from her.

The sexual tension between the two is electric and no matter how they try to fight it, they can't fight it forever. Their passion sizzles off each page with each sultry embrace, each breathtaking kiss, and each intense orgasm.

Harper is ready to lay it all on the line for Jack, but his personal demons cause he to lash out and push her away. Now alone Jack must come to terms with his insecurities and his feelings, but is it too late to make things right with Harper? Has she left, moved on, and not looking back? Or will he make a grand gesture to win her heart once and for all?

This is Lola's first full length book and what an all-consuming sensual experience. Once you pick this seductive book, you won't want to put it down.

Harper is a strong-willed individual not afraid to go after what she wants.

I swoon. British charm, poetry, accented professor with dominate tendencies, I mean, COME ON. What more could you want? This novel will have you screaming, Teach ME, Teach ME, TEACH ME, Professor Kingston!

Harper Reed is a poetry major heading off to Oxford to study abroad. With the quaint countryside and irresistible accented men why would you go anywhere else? A chance encounter leaves her breathless and wanting to know more about that phenomenal, er, kisser.

Professor Jack Kingston is the most delicious, and dirtiest, professor you will ever meet. Tall, dark and handsome with an understanding of poetry, he will sweep you off your feet and have you wishing you had a class, or many, with this delectable man.

From cover to cover I was swept up, refusing to walk away. I forewent lunch just so I didn't have to put my kindle down, and that is a BIG DEAL. Darling left me smiling, drooling and simultaneously feeling bereft. She has the perfect mix of sexy, sweet, suspense and erotic pleasure.

5 blazing and poetic stars for Teach Me. I cannot wait to get more words from this author. She never fails to woo me.

For those of you wondering if you should buy or read this book, my recommendation is to read it, if only for the first 75% of the book. It was a good start, great even. The ending however bothered me. A LOT!!

Spoilers ahead

I'm not sure why authors feel like EVERY romance novel need to have an agonizing break up. I frequently find them to be unnecessary and the more tedious parts of these stories.
I loved Teach Me. It was so good up until we hit the 75% point of the book. It didn't get interesting again until maybe around 93%. That's almost a fifth of this book. I hated this!I feel like they main characters DID NOT NEED a break up. The strength of their relationship was diminished for me because they couldn't handle a simple and stupid misunderstanding. Harper's feelings seemed more shallow to me afterwards, her words and promises seemed empty.
The break up and subsequent reaction scenes alone brought the rating of this book from 5 stars down to 3 starts for me. All they needed to do to figure things out was talk. So simple. But no. She refused to talk to him for months (the blame for this is latter placed on him. "Emails are not apologies Jack.")
I fully believed that jack would have apologized had Harper given him the time of day.
I also didn't believed Harper when she told Jack that she loved him. Conveniently at the end of the book. How is it love or trust or respect or accepting if she couldn't forgive him or let him apologize for the hurtful things he had said to her?
I'm mostly really upset because I really liked this story. It has so much potential. I liked Harper. I liked Jack and I really liked their relationship and how it progressed. But in some 20 odd pages, its potential turned cliché.
Dang it!

This is a forbidden romance for the record books. Even though Harper was breaking the rules, I was desperate for her to continue. I'm pretty sure none of my professors were ever as hot as Jack, but if they were....I would have covered that faster than a burst highlighter.

Seriously though, you think that this book is going to be sneaking and suspicion and awful angst, but I didn't feel that way. Lola writes in such a way that makes me support the characters and shake them when they're being idiotic. Yes, they need to keep their relationship a secret, but there's so much more going on beyond that fact.

Jack is a complicated man who doesn't let any woman in blindly. He knows the risks - he's just willing to take them. He's willing to risk everything because he just can't stay away. That first scene between the two of them is out of control hot - it's just as erotic and deviant as the rest of the book but neither party even knows the other at that point. Forgive me Jack, for I have sinned. ;)

Harper isn't exactly a pushover. She has her plans and they absolutely do not include falling in love with her professor. They definitely don't involve changing her life or being a secret. Again. But she also can't stay away. She and Jack are like magnets: sparking to life, pulling one to the other.

Ahhhhhh Let's all take a moment to thank Lola for giving us material to inspire our next wet dream. Teach Me is dirty, filthy fun - I'm more than happy to become the teacher's pet. 5 stars!
