Regardless of how well you thought you knew her, you should read her new autobiography, aptly named Teach Me Tiger. The tone of the book is like having a conversation with her as she remembers events in her life. And those are some pretty remarkable events, from Cary Grant's regular visits for dinner to her lengthy romance with one of the wealthiest men in America to finding her soul mate.
You finally get to find out how old she is, and even she can't believe it. The many pictures in the book show her to be as beautiful as ever. An amazing woman.
The book is uplifting, even when she's telling you about the bad times. April's positive outlook on life comes through. Strongly recommended.
and friends and her joy in living life to the fullest. The celebrities she met and worked with throughout her career
season her autobiography beautifully and give us an insight into her personality. Here is an artist who followed
her heart and shares her life's story with humor and forthrightness - no excuses - just the joys and the travails
of being an accomplished vocalist in exceptional company. From her heart to ours - you will want to read this
She has seen so much, and accomplished so much, and yet she speaks as
if she is telling this story to a close friend. I finished it from cover to cover
and couldn't stop reading this fascinating story until reaching the end.
April has not only a wonderful voice, but a great talent for the written word.
