Enjoy the year. Enjoy the kids. Enjoy your life.
It would be extremely useful to offer this planner in a loose leaf format so that it would be adaptable for teachers with more classes to plan for.
Last year was my first time using this tool and truly, I feel that I was both better organized in the classroom and more reflective about my practices as an educator as a result of using this tool to keep my planning straight. And while there is lots of good stuff in the new Daybook, the biggest improvement for me is that there is now a section for Monthly Personal Goals (and Professional) with a monthly day-by-day calendar, too.
Last year, I was forced to use my Daybook for school and another separate planner for personal/business stuff. (Which shows you how much I like the original Daybook being that I was willing to use two planners in my life just to make sure I could use yours for my school stuff.) Now, it's all under one cover.
Truly, if you have not yet investigated this tool, go check it out. I feel like I am a better teacher because of the intelligent structure it provides for me. I LOVE IT!!!
The only con to this planner is that the lesson planning area isn't broken down into periods or classes. It would be nice to have "alternative" planning pages available for teachers who teach multiple subjects.
The website teachers can access once they purchase the planner has a variety of forms available. I plan to utilize these more this year.
