Twists and turns!
I love MC books, they're actually one of my favorite, and I love reading one's that have several books in the series. After seeing numerous 4 & 5 star reviews for this series, I borrowed all of them through KU in hopes of finding another great series. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way.
Ok, I really tried to like this book, especially after I was so unimpressed with the first one, but I think that it just got worse. I should've stopped reading after the president of the MC said to another member "don't be such a debbie downer." Seriously?!?! I don't know ANY biker, or man for that matter, who would ever say this! Especially to another man! I'm not saying that all men in the books that I read have to be an alpha, but come on. I do expect them to act like men. The men in this series act more feminine than the female leads do. Not something that I candeal with, nor do I want to.
As I stated in my reviewof book #1, the author describes the facial expressions of the characters WAY too much! This book was worse than the first one was, and that's saying something.
The author had a great idea for the storyline, but the execution just wasn't there. There was a few things that I did enjoy about this book, but most of it just didn't work for me.
Since I have already borrowed the other books in this series, I am going to try the next one, since I am interested in Gabe's story, and he's one of the few characters that I like. Hopefully it will be better than the first two. These are just my opinions. I'm not going to recommend or not recommend this, but leave it to each person to decide if it's for them.
If you're interested in the book, request a sample to see if it is something that you can enjoy.
