I own hundreds of teacher resource books and this is one of my favorites! Although the focus is first grade, I have also used many of the ideas when teaching full day kindergarten. Second grade teachers would also find a lot of useful information. This book shares ideas for every aspect of teaching from parent communication to classroom arrangement to scheduling and procedures. This is an excellent resource!

I have been teaching for 25 years now and have been mainly teaching either Kindergarten or 2nd grade. When I was asked if I could go down to 1st grade, I took that as a compliment and welcomed the challenge. This book has very practical guidelines not only for 1st grade, but any grade in primary. It will be my main resource this year as I embark on teaching 1st grade for the first time in about 15 years.

Excellent book for novice or experienced teachers.
Only downfall is that with the kindle version, I cannot print out the reproducible pages. Is there a way to do this?
