Christian Author Laura Thomas is well-versed in this genre as she touches base on a variety of teenage challenges. She encourages her younger reading audience to face each crisis by suggesting that they seek out a personal relationship with Jesus. Thomas adeptly intertwines her Christian values and faith into her story line.
“Tears Of A Princess” is the second book in this faith-based teenage trilogy. Natasha Smithson-Blair is the main character in this second novel. Best friend to Bethany who lost her parents in an unfortunate car accident in “Tears To Dancing”, the reader now gets a better understanding of what is going on in Natasha’s life. She, too, is an only child with a love for dancing. As a gifted ballerina, she is very dedicated to her dancing and overly watches her body weight and food intake.
Born into wealth and affluence, her parents seem to be detached from what is going on in Natasha’s life. Each lives in their own self-centered world. When she is summoned to a family meeting, Natasha realizes something important is brewing. Much to her dismay, her parents inform her that they are getting a divorce. She has no idea why and seeks out her best friend Bethany to help her through this crisis. There is so much Bethany doesn’t know about Natasha these days and what has been going on in the last year as Bethany worked through her own grief of losing her parents...
When on a mission trip to Mexico organized by Pastor Steve and Bethany’s Aunt Alice, along with the church youth group, Natasha is forced to face the reality of her situation and the true Source of her guidance…

Up The "Down" Ladder: Simple Ideas to Overcome Depression
Natasha is a girl who is used to getting it all, and expects others to treat her like a princess, just because she is rich, talented and beautiful. No one knows though that under her outgoing, perfect appearance she is hurting, struggling and battling with an issue so dark she doesn't know how to handle it.
As you read the story you will see Natasha grow and mature, and most importantly learn that we must look outside of ourselves sometimes to see the bigger picture in front of us. With the help of her best friend, Bethany, Natasha goes on an adventure that will take her completely out of her comfort zone and open her eyes to a life she might never have known existed.
Take the time to read this book, as it is excellent. Don't worry if you have not read "Tears of a Dancer" as this book can stand on it's own or be a great sequel. I really believe young girls will enjoy this book as it discusses issues that young girls face.
