I am in love with this drink for several reasons. I appreciate that there are very few ingredients in this wonderful drink. I like that it has very naturally and without much effort from me, weened me off of coffee. I have about 2 bottles of this per day and rarely have any coffee anymore.
Green Tea has powerful antioxidants (Catechins/EGCG).
These bottles are fully wrapped to reduce light exposure which helps preserve its quality.

All Natural Organic Instant Green Tea Powder 8 oz. - Buy One Get One Free!- this product has been the closest we've found. It's not the same, but it's a potent and all natural green tea. The jasmine leaves are sorely missed, but even the product we're all accustomed to lacks that flavor now. This tea is a good product at an affordable price and a great alternative if you're like us and missing the big bang flavor you used to get from Teas' jasmine green tea.
But this is one of my favorite drinks. It's clean tasting, refreshing and just a hint of mint to make it that way. It's a light tea that is thirst quenching, unlike many drinks.
If you enjoy a clean, light tea and if you like mint, you'll probably delight in this tea.
The price here on Amazon is a bit high. I bought the tea at my local grocers for $1.50 a bottle. That may have been a sale price, however. And this brand isn't at every store. So ordering online may be the best option.

I've rarely had problems with the tea quality (once out of years of buying it, I got one that tasted like bamboo paper) and I really enjoy this tea.
However, I just received a shipment today with the new bottle design displayed on the product page. At first I thought, whatever. The plastic is thinner (so don't drop these ones) but it's the same tea, right?
Apparently not. The new version is now made in Thailand. I have bottles still of the previous batch I got not two weeks earlier. Those are made in Japan. Given the simplicity of the ingredient list, you could say there's little they could screw up.
But, the most important component of tea besides the tea leaves is the water. And there is, to me at least, a noticeable taste difference between the original made in Japan and the new one made in Thailand. The Japanese one is crisp and has that slight bitterness you expect from green tea (I'm half Japanese so it seems built into me to like that aspect of it I guess). The Thai doesn't have that bitterness and is less crisp. It almost feels sweet (maybe it's just my taste buds reacting to the lack of bitterness).
The description of the tea goes out of its way to describe how Japanese it is. And to be honest, I would assume, so long as the company still retains some Japanese oversight, the quality of the tea will likely be maintained. But, given the change in venue so to speak and the difference in taste, I'm cancelling my subscription and sticking to the Oi Ocha line.Read more ›

Hands down, my favorite tea. This is so light and refreshing. The jasmine adds a gentle flavor so no sugar is needed.Published 15 days ago by Shadowne
