I was sooooo excited by the blurb for this that I couldn't wait!! I signed up to get an ARC (and did!) Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed.
I stopped reading because I was having trouble discerning a plot line. Most of the "story" up to that point was nothing but us following Mr Escort on the job. In other words, him having sex with a different woman each time. Then we get a bit of his inner thoughts. Last comes 'plot' and at 40% into the book- I STILL couldn't figure out exactly what this "story" was about. At the beginning it seems as if he will make one of his clients a love interest. But then nothing happens with that. Later on we are introduced an old flame- I'm *guessing* this is part of the plot. But again- a few pages later and he's back to work. So who knows.
Basically I got tired of sifting through mediocre sex scenes and trying to dig for a plot. I shouldn't have to dig for a plot line!! It should be pretty easy to find and it shouldn't feel as if it's an after thought. I felt as if the sex scenes had been written first and then the author tried to pull those together to mesh into a story. Whatever she did, it didn't work.
I can't, in good conscience, recommend this book to anyone. The blurb was right. Male Escort. It got my attention. But sadly, it couldn't perform.
ARC provided by the author for an honest review.
Boy, this book IS the whole show! Nothing sexual is off limits, which makes sense because the main character is an escort. Coop has been an escort for 8 years, so you have to know that he has tried it all and seen it all - at least for the most part. He understands his clients' needs, and even with new ones, he plays along, even experiencing some m/m action - that excites and disturbs him at the same time.
This is a raw story, more so than I expected - it is hardcore sex, and it leaves nothing to the imagination, but it had to be done this way because it is told from Coop's point of view, and he lives the life - so readers get an up close and personal view, and yes, the kink might disturb some, but the synopsis provides a warning for what's to come.
It's a fairly quick read that sucks you in and takes you on an erotic ride and then lets you, literally and figuratively, get off and become invested in the tragic back story of Coop and Nic as well as Coop's old/new relationship with Mia.
The male POV is perfect for a story like Tease. Readers are allowed to get into Coop's psyche - even if that in itself is a bit disturbing. Missy makes her readers understand why Coop chose this path, and despite the fact that we may not agree with what Coop is doing, by getting the story from his point of view, we can at least see his reasoning rather than hearing it second hand from a female point of view.Read more ›
Coop has clients ranging from a nineteen year old superstar to a 60 year old Grammy winner. He aims to please, that is how he makes his living. Whatever it is that his clients want, he is there with an open mind. Having been in the business for 8 years he has seen and done a whole of first experiences, almost nothing surprises him anymore. That is until he takes on a new client.
Coop never knows what to expect when taking on new clients, he just knows he has to go in there with an open mind and does his best to remain impartial.
Coop thinks he has his life straight. He does do for a living what every guy could only dream to do, right? That is until one day he runs into "her". (I don't want to give away "her" and spoil the book).
Coop tells himself to stay away and she isn't good in his life right now. But after seeing her now, after this long he cant help but to feel something. Old attractions coming back perhaps? Whatever it is, he knows he just cant ignore what he is feeling. But she thinks he sells insurance. What is he suppose to tell her? He knows if he tells her the truth she will run, but he hates lying to her about what he really does for a living.
So with that being said. I was given a copy of this ARC for an honest review. The storyline is there; however falls short of being an outstanding book. The whole story is only from his POV. When other characters get brought into the story, it never really reveals their opinions on anything.Read more ›

I read adult contemporary romance. I'm used to smut but if it's going to include male on male sex that goes into another category in my opinion and readers should be warned. Read morePublished 17 months ago by Amazon Customer
