I can honestly say that this book has been on my TBR list since the second I flipped the last page of Foreplay, book #1 in Sophie Jordan's amazing series the Ivy Chronicles. I never expected to have an author I primarily viewed as a historical writer, blow my socks off with her talent for writing new adult. Once I got my hands on this book, I immediately stopped what I was doing and started reading, I never got up, I inhaled all 320 pages in one sitting.

We met Emerson in Foreplay as the lively roommate and friend. The lead into this story was perfect. Emerson and Shaw have chemistry from the start, and the initial impression of disinterest he shows toward Emerson after rescuing her from a brawl in a biker bar, drew me in.. hook, line and sinker. This book is full of all the elements that make for the perfect new adult read, the chemistry, the tension, anticipation and eventually the fireworks. The characters from the previous book are integrated nicely and like the first of this series left me eagerly anticipating Wild, Book #3- set for release in November of this year.

Tease is part of the Ivy Chronicles series, but the story can stand alone. I liked reading it after Foreplay, because in the books I really love, I find it nice to revisit and get more story from characters you already like and that was certainly the case here. I gave Tease- 5 Stars and a standing ovation. This book is on my favorites shelf and once again Sophie Jordan proves she is a triple-threat- an author that can write, historical, new adult and young adult... wait she also writes paranormal- she is unstoppable!

Didn't expect to enjoy this book, but I did! I read the first book by SJ in the Ivy Chronicles Series and really liked it as well. The story and characters kept me engaged, and it was believable. I didn't think I would like college age books, but I was pleasantly surprised with the romance and the sexy scenes. I will definitely read more from this author.

I read for joy, entertainment, and escape, so when I start a book, I'm not judging it, critiquing it, or picking it apart. I don't look for technical issues, plot holes (though if they're big enough I do notice them), or mistakes, I just want to enjoy an entertaining story. I do notice the mistakes, but unless they are abundant, I don't mind them. I look for a book to grab hold of me, sink its teeth, fangs, or claws in me, and not let go until the end. This book did that. It was great. I finished it in 9 hours. You know it's a great story when the dishes don't get done, the laundry washed, or the dogs fed. It was written well, had a full circle satisfaction so I wasn't left hanging (I figured out who Georgia was interested in at the end before I read the sneak peek), and the characters were well developed. My only irk, I suppose, was the southern spelling of "You all." I'm from the south so it is a pet peeve when people do this. It's "Y'all," not " Ya'll." Other than that, I had no issues or eye rolling moments, only hope, cheers, and heart-pounding satisfaction. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a great escape.

OMG I loved it. Emerson reminded me of myself when I was in college and I was like oh wow I did that. But she is a great character and I was actually surprised by one of her secrets. Can't wait to read Wild, which is Georgia's story.

There is something about Sophie Jordan that makes me love her IVY CHRONICLES books, despite the fact I’ve read books just like them. A New Adult book about a girl who misguidedly believes that sexual freedom equals control and an escape from a traumatic past, who meets an ex-soldier who changed during the war…I’ve read it. The truth is that I’ve read books with this story in this same genre before, but Sophie Jordan makes it feel new, because she writes it better. She just does. Her books are fun, romantic, heartbreaking and just a joy to read.

Emerson has a reputation for being a good time girl, which is probably why her not so good friend, Annie, invites her out to a biker bar. With her look and style, including diamond earrings, Emerson just does not fit in. So, when her negative response to a biker’s advances starts a bar fight, the mysterious and way too hot to be real Shaw carries her out of there, literally.

And so starts one of the most entertaining love stories I have read all year. While, Shaw is sexy and interested with a hero streak, Emerson wants no part of him. Because, she only dates guys that she can control. And with his confident manner and his way too direct gaze, it is obvious that Shaw cannot be controlled. Emerson backs away, but Shaw continues to pursue, because he knows there is something between them and he’s right.

TEASE is the story of a girl with secrets. Emerson is keeping a lot to herself, which Shaw slowly unravels and reveals. It’s difficult, getting to know Emerson is like pulling teeth. I really liked how unapologetic Emerson is about who she is. She’s a woman with a reputation which is fine by her. You can call her a slut if you want to, but your opinion means next to nothing to her. I love heroines like Emerson.
