"He opened a jack-in-the-box of sexuality by turning a handle I didn't even know I had."

Songs of Submission is the whirlwind saga of aspiring singer Monica Faulkner and hotelier and real estate magnate Jonathan Drazen. Books/novellas should be read in order:
Book 1: Beg
Book 2: Tease
Book 3: Submit
Book 3.5: Jessica & Sharon
Book 4: Control
Book 5: Burn
Book 5.5: Rachel
Book 6: Resist
Book 7: Sing

In Beg, book 1 waitress and aspiring singer Monica Faulkner meets hotelier Jonathan Drazen while accidently spilling a tray of drinks on him. He fires her, but not before giving her a contact for another waitress job. They have an instant attraction, but both have demons in their past and a relationship is not on the radar for either one. Whereas Jonathan is open for no-strings-attached sex, Monica is looking to focus on her career. So Jonathan turns to seduction...

Tease, book 2 is the continuation of Jonathan and Monica's story. They have hooked up for some off-the-charts sex and have come to an agreement that since neither is "available" they will just enjoy each other sexually whenever....

Jonathan has however taken charge of Monica's orgasms and is playing her like a violin. Jonathan is set on keeping things very casual. He admits to being in love with his ex-wife and Monica is dealing with her fears of their relationship taking over her life and pushing her singing career to the side. While Jonathan and Monica are both embracing and fighting their sexual attraction, exes are stepping in stirring up some drama.... I will say no more as their story is best experienced!

Holy s***! Does CD Reiss know how to nail titles or what?!?!?!

The heat got turned way up in this one..... starting on page ONE!! I swear my Kindle was on fire -- oh wait.... that was ME. I am really head-over-heels lovin' this serial!!!!! It just keeps getting better and better. I am so ecstatic and excited over this, my eyes roll back in my head because I can't take it.

After Beg, I could not wait to find out what happened next. Monica just couldn't stay away. And, I'd have to say there is something seriously wrong with the girl if she did. Jonathan just has that inexplicable pull. I love that he is controlling but only in the sense that he is very persuasive and compelling. He makes you want him. He's not forceful or disrespectful. He's controlling to the extent that it's erotic and sensual. CD Reiss has found a way to make the reader feel like Jonathan's target. You will find yourself willing to yield to him at every turn. But, both Monica and Jonathan are starting to recognize this isn't just about sex - and it never was. As much as I love Jonathan, I wanted to slap the s*** out if him. Not cool owner-of-the-orgasm, not cool. You too bitchy ex-wife and jackass ex-boyfriend. (You will see what I am talking about.)

Once again this installment isn't very long, but you'll find yourself on the edge of your seat being teased and begging for more. Who knew less than 90 pages could be so engrossing and crazy f-ing HOT???? Seriously, this serial is like crack for bookworms that like it HOT. I can't get over how addictive this is!!!! I feel like I'm going crazy every time an episode comes to an end.....

IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY PICKED UP THE SONGS OF SUBMISSION SERIES, YOU NEED TO GET ON IT ..... NOW!!!!

I like Monica, I really do. I like how she speaks her mind. I'm hoping she doesn't back down and gives it to Jonathan. Even though I think Jessica is up to something. And what does Monica's ex want, want her back and does he know Jessica? If so are they both going to mess with Jonathan and Monica? I know this isn't much of a review, but since they end on life hangers I have more questions than answers. Frustrating, but in a good way cause I'm vested in these characters. They seem good together but Jonathan has secrets. The one thing I admire about Jonathan is his honesty and his feelings for his ex, but if Jessica is right than....ugh....we'll just have to wait and see

I bought this book after reading the first for free, but I won't be reading the rest of the series. First of all the characters are not interesting, there is hardly any sort of plot, and the character arcs are non existent.

And the end of the books just set you up with a tease to get you to buy/read the next novella which just continues at a snails pace with a Boring storyline and no character development but the last tiny "chapter" reveals a less than thrilling plot advance that is supposed to hook the reader for more.

Not sexy, totally boring, no interesting characters, no development whatsoever. Save your $3 and don't even bother with this crap.

"You're a godess, Monica. Never be afraid to ask for what you want."

CD Reiss has quickly become my guilty pleasure. Her writing style is so fully erotic with words that slide across the page and drip with sensuality. I was completely captivated by every word, hanging on every syllable whether the characters are in the act of having sex or just having a normal conversation.

In Tease we learn a bit more about Monica and Jonathan; just enough to continue to tease us and build the foundation for what has the potential to be an amazing series. Jonathan is back from business in Korea and both he and Monica cant stop thinking about the other. Agreeing to a casual relationship, sex without feelings, they embark on a journey full of intense heat and passion.

I genuinely liked Monica, her character continues to impress me with her outward strength but also with the vulnerability that she hides inside. I can already see her growth and maturity since the first book.

"I don't want your heart," I said. "I want your attention for a few hours at a time."

Then we have Jonathan.

"I think I missed you."

I wasn't so sure about Jonathan when I first meet him in Beg. Redheads aren't usually my thing and I didn't really know enough about him to form an opinion but with that one line I was done for. Just the pure honesty in those 5 little words did me in. The way he owns and uses Monica's body had me panting but it was more than just the great sex. I loved the dialogue in between all the hotness, it was witty and cheeky. I feel like I got to know Jonathan so much better and I cant wait to read more.

Now that the entire series is complete and available there really is no excuse for holding off any longer. So get moving and start reading :)

~Natalie
