Broke After 2 Years of Great Coverage

Writing a review after 2 years of using this Tech Armor ballistic glass protector on my iPhone 7. I'm a huge fan of Tech Armor and have been using their protectors since my iPhone 5S.

Pros:
1) True edge to edge coverage.
2) Great optics. My screen is as clear and sharp as it is without the glass.
3) Doesn't scratch easily and has held up with no marks at all until this past week.
4) Easy to install. No bubbles or other issues. I lined up the speaker hole on the top & the home button on the bottom. The first time I put it down it was slightly off so I picked it up and readjusted it for an exact fit. Then I pushed it down and it sealed with no air bubbles or discoloration.
5) Works great as a protector. I am hard on my iPhones. I dropped them more than most people. My screen doesn't have a scratch.

Cons:
1) Durability. After 2 years, my screen cracked by the home button with no drop or other trauma in months. I'm not sure why. Maybe because it's a curved screen. I had to replace it because the edge of the crack were very sharp and I kept hitting them everytime I pressed my home button. It's a little disappointing - hence the 4 stars for durability. My previous Tech Armor ballistic protectors lasted for the life of my iPhone - up to 4 years with no problem.

All and all, I give this 5 stars because it preformed flawlessly - no scratches, no optical distortion, complete coverage & no marks on my iPhone screen at all. 2 years is good enough for me to replace it with the same protector.

I've got Tech Armor screen protectors on all my mobile devices and I've seen first hand how well they protect against drops. I'm a believer in the product but I deducted one star for the inconsistent quality I've observed. Some Tech Armor protectors adhere great with no issues whatsoever. Others seem to have imperfections in the ballistic glass or have trouble adhering around the edges of the screen. I've had two instances of poor adherence with my iPhone 8 and yes, I follow the directions meticulously. This would easily be a 5-star product if the quality was more consistent.

The screen protector fits well and looked nice. I bought two of these 3D protectors, one with white trim for my wife and one with black trim for myself. Installation was pretty easy and went well. Within a week my wife's protector had a crack in it even though she said she never dropped it. I doubted her and thought she probably dropped it. Three days later my whole corner shattered and I know I didnt drop it, so it must be something with the tempered glass. I attempted to reach the warranty department which the phone number connects to nothing!

this is a very high quality screen protector! there is no degradation in performance in my iphone screen or 3D touch...everything works perfectly! it fit perfectly to cover my entire iphone 7 screen, but is also able to accommodate my speck presidio clear phone case (this is a slim profile case, but it does have bezel/over-edge protection). the installation is very easy, and forgiving. the first time i installed mine it was off center ever-so-slightly....and i'm a bit OCD so i pulled the screen protector off, and re-installed without any issues. the fit is perfect and i have no bubbles under the screen protector. i haven't yet dropped the phone since installing, so I can't yet comment on it's protection capabilities. it definitely appears to be very high quality.

Dust gets in the area by the proximity sensor then that sensor stops working for phone calls.

Initially it was a great product. When applied perfectly, it looks completely seemless and is 100% edge to edge coverage. After a few days, dust starts to accumulate by the proximity sensor and it won't work properly during calls anymore. Screen will stay black once it detects your face. Since the auto brightness sensor is also up there, that also stops working and screen is always very dim due to the light being blocked by dust. Wish TA sealed that area off like the front camera.

Very disappointed for $20! Don't buy this is you use your phone for phone calls and also wander outdoors so you need autobrightness!
