I bought this sling to be an Appleseed Project "Liberty Rifle" sling and it is perfect for that. This sling will nicely compliment a Ruger 10/22 rifle or for that matter a larger rifle such as an AR or a Mini 14. It is high quality processed cotton that appears indistinguishable from the slings that we used in the Army. I can testify that those lasted for decades under tough use conditions; this one should too. It is very easy to position this sling as a "shooter's sling" to steady the rifle, which is the point. RJB.

This M1/M14 cotton loop sling is the type recommended for use at Appleseed events (really worthwhile, look them up). We ordered two of these for use on Ruger 10/22 rifles, but they would fit any rifle that can accommodate a 1.25" wide sling.

The sling is designed for the loop end to attach to the fore-end sling mount (not included) and the clip end to attach to the butt-end sling mount (also not included). The clip end can be detached and then wrapped around the bicep of the support arm to provide tension and improve stability (there is a good picture in the images section).

This is a quality product and should hold up to years of use.

Highly Recommended! Also, took a risk and ordered expedited shipping and was very pleased that the seller (Teck Sight) sent them out Priority Mail and got them here, from CA to PA, in two days.

Great sling but the cost here is much higher than on http://www.tech-sights.com/. Tech sights sells it for $14

I use one on my 10/22 and on my AR-15

Very easy to install and adjust if you have sling mounts on your rifle, and very affordable. They're not padded slings, so they're not as comfortable as a means to carry your rifle as some others, but they work better as a support for aiming than most padded slings I've seen. I like them and they're on all my rifles. So far no breakages.

Build quality is good. Length is good. Fits swivels properly. Nothing wrong with the sling but the pictures are of green sling, mine was black. Im not going to bother returning it because it works fine, just be aware if you are dead set on green i would order elsewhere.

I should really give it a 1 or 2 star review because its a different color than in pictures, but ignoring that, the sling does work great and i would recommend.

Works just as you'd expect for an older military-style sling. Got it for a Ruger 10-22. I like the cotton aspect because it is fairly tacky and kind of keeps the rifle in place once it's been slung. Good for the price. No complaints.

Sling is okay but it is not an exact duplicate of military issue. I have an original M-14 sling and the webbing is noticeably thicker and heavier. On the plus side, the metal hardware appears to be same gauge metal. I would recommend this sling if your in a pinch.

The sling is just like the one I used in the military. Quality and workmanship is very good. This is the sling for every AR owned by "old corps" people like me. Will buy this for my Springfield M1A.
