This book is extremely digestible and forms an excellent introduction to many, if not all of the key debates, around AI. If you are new to the field, or have casual interest, I recommend starting with this one to give you a grounding of the issues. You can then move onto more detailed books like Shanahan's other word or Bostrom on Superintelligence, or the evangelicals like Kurzweil.
