When you need a break from coffee
Enjoy a fresh brewed cup of Teeccino Herbal Coffee, the coffee alternative
If you want to take a break from coffee, for just a moment or for good, enjoy a delicious, robust cup of Teeccino anytime of the day. It’s yummy after dinner and kids can drink it too. Who would think that a simple blend of roasted and ground herbs, grains, fruits & nuts could taste like coffee? Think Mediterranean carob, chicory and barley blended with golden roasted almonds and lightly sweetened with dates and figs - pure ingredients that taste deliciously like coffee when they’re transformed into Teeccino. Just like there’s no milk in soy milk and no tea in herbal tea, there’s no coffee in herbal coffee. Enjoy Teeccino’s regular, nut, chocolate or spicy flavors to find the cup that is perfect for you!
There are many ways to drink Teeccino
Teeccino’s all-purpose filter grind brews perfectly in any kind of coffee maker. Drip it, French press it, or make a cappuccino in your espresso machine. Refillable K-cups work great too. You can even blend Teeccino with coffee to reduce caffeine and acidity, which allows you to drink more cups of coffee a day or make your own ‘decaf’. Decaf coffee still has caffeine, but it’s made from denatured coffee beans with high acidity that have lost their antioxidants. Instead, use your favorite brand of regular coffee and control the amount of caffeine in your cup by blending it with Teeccino. If you need to take a permanent break from coffee, avoid painful withdrawal symptoms by weaning off of caffeine gradually. Blend Teeccino with coffee and reduce the amount of coffee over two weeks. You can drink Teeccino anywhere you go, by using our convenient single serve Tee-bags and simply asking for hot water!

I read some reviews likening this product to "Postum." I found something like Postum at my health food store called "Kaffree Roma" which is made by Kellogg's. It is an instant beverage with similar ingredients to the Teeccino. So I tried that as well. I did not think it was quite as good as the Teeccino. The flavor of the Roma was a bit sesame-like.
I highly recommend the Teeccino. It might not be exactly the same taste as coffee, but it really is close. And if you don't like one variety, try a different flavor. Also, one reviewer said the Teeccino was "bitter." I have noticed this happened when I accidentally brewed mine too long. So if it's bitter, shorten your brew time.
UPDATE, MAY 20, 2012: I have been using the Teeccino for a few months now. I have absolutely no problems with my stomach when drinking it! Although we LOVE the other flavors as well (especially Vanilla Nut and Chocolate) we find that we still drink the French Roast most often. I have even gotten my husband to switch from coffee to Teeccino now!!

Vanilla nut is a nice flavor. Truthfully some of the flavors do not seem to be differentiated from each other, but this one definitely has it's own flavor profile. I keep coming up with "vanilla coconut" when I taste it. If you are looking for something to taste as close as possible to Coffee - this isn't the flavor. I would suggest Maya Caffe for the closest flavor to coffee. But this vanilla nut is very enjoyable in its own right.
This beverage is a nice alternative to coffee. No it does not taste like coffee exactly. It has it's own taste and feel. But I'm finding that I REALLY enjoy drinking it for the flavor it does have. The only negative aspect is that it does contain more calories than coffee or tea. However, the way I feel after I drink it (in comparison to coffee) far outweighs the small calorie content.
I use 1 TB in my french press and about 12oz of water boiled in my tea kettle. Such a quick, easy, inexpensive and enjoyable method of brewing.
I would reccommend the sampler pack (free shipping) from the teeccino website and then order your favorite flavors through subscribe and save on amazon. That will give you the best price.
If you have Celiac, it is NOT worth it. It will hurt you.
