I would give it a higher rating if the writing was done in black print, instead it is done in a light brown and is difficult to read. My son wears glasses but even I have a difficult time with the color of the print.

After reading several reviews, I was hesitant to get this, but as it is along what I have been looking for as gift for my teen nephews, I decided to get it, look throughout the book myself first and if I didn't like it I would seek another book. However, I am glad I did purchase this one and will not be seeking a different book at this time.
Complaints I see are the text not being black against the white/offwhite pages. However, the text is a gold sepia color and can easily be seen on the pages with appropriate lighting. This text colour has been used many times in older cookbooks and some other older books..if you have seen a photograph done in sepia/white colors the text is just a smidge more golden, but not at all difficult,to see and/or read. Especially with appropriate and/or sufficient lighting for ones reading preference.
The other most common complaint I found was that the devotion days aren't numbered. While this is true, the pages are numbered at the bottom. Regardless of being numbered or not the simple fix to that is to use a bookmark, maybe one of the magnetic ones that flags that specific page you left off on.
Since this book is a gift, I have read through some of the devotions and believe this will be excellent for my older teen nephews ages 14 and 16 (especially given the climate of worldliness they are exposed to in school, home, social circles, and internet.)
This is an excellent purchase and since I purchased one to make sure it was the right fit for both boys, I will be making another purchase of this book for my other nephew.

I bought this daily devotional for teen boys for my son. My daughter has the one for teen girls and she loves it. I enjoy the devotional but the font coloring is terrible. The pages are a light yellow and the font is a mustard color. Unless you have absolutely optimal light it makes it nearly impossible to see the font. My 16 year old says the same thing. We are still trying to make it work because we love the devotionals but I am considering sending it back just for that reason. What good is a devotional if you can't read it. The content, however, is awesome.

Good material as far as content is concerned. Print is not always easy to read as it is quite small and the colour of print is quite close to that of the colour of the page meaning that there is not a great contrast, making it difficult to read in places.

Apart from this, it is book worth getting for a teenage boy, and my problem with print size and colour may not trouble a teenager at all.

It gives the kids reading it, I feel, a "God Boost" knowing that boys there age can feel "God" things too and that it's normal, or at least it's ok to experience it or look for it.
