I especially like the "Face It" devotion, particularly the illustration about video games. This hits home as well! So many young adult males devote too much of their precious time to playing video games! And here's an awesome sentence from "The Lure of Porn" devotion: "Images ... were being seared into my brain"! From another chapter, here's another excellent statement: "God has to be our biggest Accountability Partner"! Proverbs chapters 5-7 is a perfect scripture for this devotion. And yet another powerful statement from the same chapter: " ... to see women through Your eyes and not the eyes of our culture."
The "My Friend, Where Art Thou" devotion is a powerful discussion of dealing with not only the loss of a friend, but of selfishly betraying that same friend. And I love this part of the practical application prayer at the end of the chapter: "Please remind me that I can choose to live in my mistakes, or I can allow You to take them and use them for Your glory."
I laughed out loud when I read about the older brothers paying for the taxi ride in the "Forgiveness" chapter! And had to fight back tears as I read about Claude, the homeless man, in the "Generosity" devotion.
Even though a good number of the chapters don't contain an anecdote or illustration, the ones that do are very creative and thought-provoking. And an extra added touch at the end of the book is the inclusion of online links to "Recommended Resources."
This is thought-provoking as well as easy-to-understand devotion book! Good job, Paul and CJ!
Gateway To The Heart Ministries
At the end of each devotion is a chance to reflect, apply and pray about what has just been read.
The authors have described struggles and problems they have had, so anyone reading this with the
same issues can be encouraged and helped, knowing The Lord will help them, as He helped others
In the same situation.
I would have every confidence in recommending this marvellous book.

in helping these young men to be and to know the right course to be on and what not to be doing. So that they can grow in their personal journey with Jesus Christ as their zooms, Savior and helper who will never leave them or forsake them
even when they make mistakes in life, etc. They're was not anything that I disliked here in this book for young teenaged boys. I liked it for all the above reasons listed above. I was given this book free to read and to do the reviews in exchange for doing these reviews and given by" Find Your a true Strenght.com." By Angela L.
