I'm so glad I stumbled upon this book when looking for a bedtime story for my two girls. It quickly became part of our nighttime routine. Very colorful illustrations. Large print makes it easy for little fingers to follow along. Looking forward to the next one from this author.

A darling book. I was so glad I was able to watch the "making/writing-of" video of this delicious children's book. A true illustrator, who draws from scratch, is like a true chef making a delectable cake from scratch...no comparison when it's the real deal. Hard work is always worth it! Buy it as a gift; read it to a child; or as I did, just enjoy it yourself..at any age.

The artistry is great and the story reads like Dr Seuss. I'm yawning just writing this review. Too funny. The author also has a video on his web page about how he does his art which I also enjoyed.

My little ones love this book and keep pulling it out to
be read again and again. The illustrations are amazing and the kids
love looking for the little mouse on each page as he follows the great
big yawn he has started. Thank goodness for its hardback cover as I'm
sure it will be added to our "keep forever" library for the kids to
look back on as they grow older.

Extra kudos for the use of recycled paper inside too. It falls in line
with all of the things our kiddos have been learning in school about
being eco-friendly and the environment.

Thank goodness I bought two of these books for our household. I was planning to give one to my girls daycare as a gift and keep one for us, but when I read it to my 4 year old and 2 and 1/2 year old, they immediately wanted their own copies so they could read it themselves. They spent about 20 minutes each reading the book to each other last night - shocked that they sat still that long right after dinner, which is usually their most active time.

Pros - great illustrations, especially if your kids love animals; rhyming but not annoyingly so like some other kids' books, just enough so that my 4 year old could pretty much recite the pages to her sister after hearing me read it once outloud; captured their interest for quite a while, no easy feat for a 2 year old; easy pages for little hands to turn yet sturdy enough they don't rip; entertaining story line for kids and adults; love that author is local (to us in MD) and University of Maryland grad and has kids of his own so knows what kids like

Cons - wish there were more books like this out there; maybe the author will do more???!!!

This book is brilliant. Not only do my kids love the story and want me to read this every night, but the yawns that it creates make them go to sleep in seconds! Thanks Mr. Zettler.

I have four children (4 years old and under). They get bored with books very easily but have all actually sat still long enough to read this book three nights in a row. It's cute to watch them begin to yawn. They think it's funny becasue yawns are indeed contagious. I think this book is a great gift for anyone with children.
