Mommy, diagnosed with Alzsheimers but still a lover of life, enjoys rearranging the colorful blocks. The size of them is just right for a coffee table.
This is another staple that I keep in my purse for my toddler. They're interesting and easy to put together in different shapes. I see this purchase as timeless because I even enjoy them. A little pricy, but fun and easy to carry around and they're aesthetically pleasing colors.
Perfect for travel specially meals at restaurants. I try really hard to not have screen time for my son while we eat as a family and this keeps him entertained until our food comes out! Perfect for his fine motor skills as well! Love that it comes with a case and the size is perfect to fit in most purses and my husbands back pocket!
I just discovered this toy today and I paid a bit extra for same-day delivery, and am I ever glad I did! I’m a Granny with 4 wee ones and am always on the lookout for something that will hold they attention when their mommy and I need it most (doctor’s appointments, waiting for the car to be repaired, at a restaurant, etc.)! These block are safely held in the soft but sturdy case and easily can be tucked away into a purse or diaper bag. The blocks themselves are smooth and delightful to feel. The “click” sounds so nice when the magnets snap together. Best of all is the imagination that these spark when the blocks suddenly turn into a dog or kitty or robot or bus...then the “story” takes shape. The grandchildren were immediately delighted with them! I placed another order this same day for a larger set and the carry case as well. These are already a favorite with them and I’m sure will continue to be. Please also watch the video which tells the history of their creation and how the company helps less fortunate children in such a great way. Don’t hesitate to purchase them. If you’re not sure, you could start with this smaller set. I know I’m glad I did!
I love these blocks. They are so fun to play with. I got these for my grand daughter. I keep hiding them from her cause I want to play with them. When she finds them she loves to play with them too! She does not like to share with me so I may have to buy more. This is an 8 piece set but it has been a great introduction to magnets and wood toys for my GB. She is 2.5 and she can use these blocks. I think it is the perfect size for her to learn how to use them. She is able to turn them an figure out how they "stick" together. She takes them with her almost everywhere (when I am not playing with them). I was not sure I needed/wanted the carrying case, it has been a life saver. We can get all the blocks back into the case without having to count how many are missing. I am sure we will be able to use these blocks for other building projects as the Grands get older. I would recommend this toy to anyone. I like this size for my younger grand baby. The colors are fun. The stem possibilities are going to be amazing. If you are debating in anyway, my advise is they are well worth it.
I bought these for my 21 month old son to use as a diaper bag toy.
The company: this company is named after a Honduran city (Tegucigalpa) and has an environmentally and socially conscious mission. They support replanting efforts, a school in central America, and manufacture the toys in an independent factory in Honduras. Because I have personally traveled (and loved) Honduras and other locations in Central America, I fell in love with this aspect of the toys.
The packaging: the felt pocket pouch is lovely, simple, modern, and well made. My toddler is unable to manipulate it, however. I'm sure for a child a bit older it would be easy as there are no clasps, it's just that the dense, thick felt has enough friction with itself to make it hard for a small fry to open. That also means it stays completely closed and intact in the diaper bag, stroller bag, etc. The blocks are also wedged in there fairly tightly, which means it will likely stand up over time (I'm not worried about the pouch stretching) and don't fall out.
The blocks: these are clearly well made with a smooth finish, subtle colors, and strong magnets. My toddler is able to get the blocks apart easily and they fit well in his hands (not too big, not too little). He does sometimes seem confused that the polarity of the magnets means the blocks only stick together one way. He sometimes requires assistance getting them to stick to each other.
Overall: my son is 21 months old and these don't grab his attention long yet, but I continue to introduce them in the hopes he will grow to enjoy them more. I love the company ethics, the Central American origin, and the look of the toys. They are a fantastic diaper bag addition as the pouch is compact, stays closed despite just tossing it in to rumble around, and the magnets mean the toys are easy to use on planes, in restaurants, and in the stroller.
These are one of my new go-to gifts for kids in the 2-4 range.
I love this set! I take it with me everywhere! It keeps my son entertain when we are in the car, eating at restaurants, in the plane, shopping. The quality is great the magnet works well. It helps my son development and imagination. If you are looking for a 1-2yr old gift this is a great option. I’ve had them for one yr one. And the pain is peeling a little from the corners, but is very minimal, they still work!
Great quality, perfect travel size. Was looking for something small to bring to keep my toddler busy, especially when we’re out at restaurants waiting for our food. Keeps her entertained and gets her to use her imagination to build. Magnet is strong to keep blocks from toppling over but not too strong to make it frustrating for toddlers to use independently.
I was searching a lot of time for a wooden magnetic toy with hidden magnets. It is the only thing I found! Kids enojy it. It has a nice sound and feel when you assemble it, could be used for stress relief on your desk. Feels like magic! Fantatic!
Mi hijo de 4 años y medio es muy feliz con este juego, le despierta su habilidad para hacer diferentes figuras y formas. Lo compre de oferta y vale cada peso que pague por el.
