The Story Continues:
Following his victory in the previous tournament, Jin Kazama has taken charge of the Mishima Zaibatsu and now possesses tyrannical ambitions. Using his resources within the organization to become a global superpower, he severs the Mishima Zaibatsu's national ties and openly declares war against all nations. This action plunges the world into a chaotic spiral, with war erupting around the globe and even amidst the space colonies orbiting the planet. Kazuya Mishima, is aware of this and finds Jin's interference in his own plans for global domination to be a nuisance. Now in charge of G Corporation (which was put under his command following a violent fury against the company's heads), Kazuya is seen as the only force who could oppose Jin and places a bounty on Jin's head for anyone who can capture him. Jin's response is to announce The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 in order to battle Kazuya and crush G Corporation.

The brand new entry to the Tekken series, Tekken 6, is one game that will please the many fans of the Tekken series and might even bring in a few new players as well. This is a very great fighting game in its core for both beginners to the genre and the experts. Unfortunately, the core of the game is spot on perfect... everything else could use a little work. Tekken 6's online play can be very spotty at times and some training options that were very useful tools in the older Tekken entries are completely missing.

For those who are looking for a good fighting game alternative to the Street Fighter series, definitely take a look at this game. For the hardcore, you're going to buy it anyways if you already enjoy the Tekken series. Don't let the complex juggle combos that you see on YouTube hold you back, there is still a very solid game and you will eventually learn those exact combos, probably a lot faster than you think.

Like most fighting games, you know what you are getting when you are purchasing this title. A few new moves and characters here and there, but the core is still Tekken. As a fan of the Tekken franchise, I am OK with that.

What I don't like though are two big things. 1) The "Tekken Force" or Campaign or whatever they are calling it seems to be a major focus as it is the first option in the menu; and it totally sucks. Just button mashing hoping to auto-focus towards to closest guy and move on. Pointless stupid mode. The ONLY reason to play it is to unlock customizable piece for the fighters and get more money to purchase what you don't. 2) The last guy is no fun to fight. I remember back in the day when Heihachi was the boss, and he was a challenge to beat. Nowdays, Tekken has evolved into a solid fighting game with cheating, game-breaking bosses at the end. They aren't "fair" at any point and really take away from the sense of accomplishment in the game as you just have to spam a move that works to beat them.

Regardless, Tekken 6 is still a fun, solid fighting game, despite these two issues. The graphics aren't the best and seem a bit dated now, but overall, especially with the price drop being less than $30, I recommend this game.

Tekken 6 has a lot of content, gameplay and feature wise, but there are a number of design flaws that hold it back as a game.

-Gameplay is good, although some of the animations seem stiff.
-40 Fighters to choose from. Each fighter has a large move set.
-Stages are very active, but 2 of the stages are ONLY selectable through random select
-There is alot to unlock, but most items are pallete swaps and expense, compared to the money get in scenario mode.
-I would've liked a Costume system, more simliar to Soul Calibur 4. Being able to change colors of all outfits, instead of buying from 10 different colors, would have been nice. Also, would have been nice to allow the customized outfits have their own slot, rather than overriding the existing outfits.
-Scenario mode is addictive and frustrating at same time. You can unlock items without having to purchase, but you get a lot of duplicate items, with just different stats.
-Team Vs mode should have been made to load all of the fighters at once, instead of have to sit through loading screens after each team mate(or opposing team member) loses. Not sure why there isn't a Tag mode this time.

when i play fighting games what i really look forward to is unlocking the characters in the game. well this is a game that doesnt have that, so the arcade mode is pretty pointless aside just playing it for fun. graphics are good,lot of characters to choose from. most fighting games have nomore then 20 ppl to choose from. main story mode is ok for something else to do in the game but arcade and online is where most of the fun is. bosses are a tough, but nothing as hard as eternal champions . so inconclusion this game is good for a fighting game all fighing games get boring really fast but there good to have when theres nothing to play.

Wow... are you a fan of fighting games ? Well, this one is a must then. Tekken 6 has a huge roster of fighters... all classic fighters are there plus some new additions. The game has astonishing graphics, tremendously good designed environments and fighters and the gameplay provides hours and hours of fun.

You can start playing the campaign mode where you'll be unlocking a lot of items, fighters and other cool features in the game. You can also play the arcade mode to fight several fighters or fight in the Arena to see a cool cinematic in the end.

I purchased this game bran new at Amazon.com. As usual, a great purchase at a very low cost and a very fast shipping. Everything in the game was in perfect shape as promised. I definitely recommend not to hesitate and buying at Amazon, the best online store ever !

the gameplay itself is awesome. pretty well balanced, very nice visuals, intuitive controls and attacks. i adore tekken with all my heart, so i cant give anything below a 4, but the developers abandoned this game in 2009. people who played previous tekkens will notice some unwelcome changes to this release. no practice mode record/playback, no naming rooms for online play. load times are high, playing ranked matches online makes you auto upload and save data after every match. the user interface is clunky. hopefully they do a better job of supporting tekken in the next release.

Just received my copy of Tekken 6 and it is great. The graphics are good and the fighting mechanics are unmatched. It is accessible to newcomers but button mashing will only get you so far. You really have to sit down and take time to learn the intricacies of your favorite character to really appreciate the depth the game has. My only complaint is the scenario campaign story mode. It feels forced upon you and its just average at best. However I see this mode as just a bonus adsthe actual arcade fighting game and online match ups are great. I like it just as much as Street Fighter IV. Great purchase!
