I just purchased this power supply after reviewing a number of similar models. I liked the big bright display and memory features. The unit feels well-made. I've tested it with my Fluke 115 and it seems to be very accurate in its output. I'm looking forward to testing it out further and hooking it up to my scope to see just how the clean the power output really is. So far I am very impressed with the build quality and value. The interface is a little counter-intuitive but that's okay.

Best power supply I've owned so far. Particularly like the linear design for performance / stability it stands out from my others.
But the best features are the programmable memory for output settings, adjustable OCP, slim form factor, and illuminated output control.
Some complain that setting isn't all that intuitive, but rotary cycling through digits beats barrrrely tapping a pot with a feather to get an exact setting.
Operations with regard to circuit safety seem great- power up and memory recall automatically disables output, so you don't get drastically surprised by whatever you last put in there.
All this with some surprisingly capable (but easy to use) software and a good warranty makes for an excellent buy.

This is a great power supply with a lot of the features I was looking for. Output is rock steady and accurate.
OUTPUT ON/OFF button is VERY useful, and one of the big selling points of this power supply. It is relay controlled.
Very heavy and steady unit with excellent build quality. Main transformer is of high quality and bolted down nicely. Buttons and dial are nice. Screen is nice and bright. LEADS THAT IT COMES WITH ARE JUNK, but that was expected. Be sure to pick up some nice leads somewhere. Has programmable memory buttons to set commonly used volts and amps. Has great protection that is configurable.

The main gripe I have with this unit is that you have to push the dial in to select which DIGIT you want to change when you want to adjust the voltage and amperage. There is a button called V/A that you push to change between adjusting Volts or Amps, which is good, but then you cant just rotate the knob to change the voltage/amperage. For example, say you want to adjust from 1 Volt to 2 Volts: you push the V/A button until Volts is blinking, then push the knob in until the "1's place digit" is blinking, then spin the knob to change it to 2. Then you wait 3 seconds and it stops flashing and its now set. This is not at all how you think it would be - you would think you would just rotate the knob once the Volts line is flashing.

I suppose they did this because you can adjust to the thousandth's decimal place, which would be hard to do with a rotating knob (would fly right by the value you wanted). It takes a little getting used to but you become quick at it pretty fast. This is the only thing preventing from rating this 5 stars.

The software is actually kinda nice, makes using it easier than the knob though. All said, this is an excellent power supply and I have very happy with my purchase. The quality is surprisingly good and the electrical specs are true to what is published. Great buy and recommended over the "brother" unit Tekpower TP3005T (notice the T on the end) because this one has an OUTPUT button and the programmable nature. Just my 2 cents.

Wow, I'm finally impressed. I made the mistake of trying to buy something cheaper, and I bought a Uni-T power supply. That was a big mistake, and a huge disappointment. I generally believe the saying "buy cheap, buy twice" and I'm glad I can return the cheaper unit for a refund. This may cost more, but IT DOES THE JOB. I'm very happy with the performance of this power supply. It measures absolutely consistently with my true RMS meter. I love the "output" button which enables or disables the power output. Besides being able to adjust the settings more safely for the attached device, it's also great to turn off the output to make adjustments without, you know, killing yourself. The memory settings are also a great feature if you're building/testing multiple devices. Another model had poor reviews concerning how voltage is adjusted and whether or not it's safe for the attached device. No issues with this unit! The TP3005P makes voltage adjustment safe and simple. Granted, I've had this for all of an hour, but if there's any issues I will update my review.
