o Want to learn how telephones are installed in consumer and business premises;
o Want to know about telephone installation in the UK.
This is not suitable for anyone who:
o Needs a text to pass apprenticeship or trade qualifications examinations;
o Wants to learn the techniques used in their own (non-UK) nation;
o Has no background in electronics.
It's hard to say who this book is aimed at. It does not really have the details needed to train a linesman apprentice and it's not at a level suitable for managers. It may be intended to provide information to hobbyists, but the DIYer would be foolish to conduct their own repairs using this book as a guide. Warning: never connect telephones that you have repaired or modified to the public switched network or use the network to conduct experiments. Your telco contract and local laws will prohibit this as it can result in shocks or injury to linesmen and damage exchange (US: "central office") equipment.
