The BTC201 temperature controller can turn on/off an electric appliances at desired temp.
For example, you can use the controller to turn on/off a heater and a fridge to keep temp around 100 F. Turn on heater at 98.5 F. Turn on fridge at 105 F. Turn off the heater/fridge when temp reaches 100 F. The setting is (SV=100, Cd=5, Hd=1.5). the controller itself doesn't change temp.

My only concern is the probe; I am not sure how it will hold up in saltwater over time because it does not look very sturdy. I voiced my concern about this to the manufacturer and was told, "There's a protective water proof glue inside on the component. It's not a problem to use it in saltwater."
It has only been running for about two weeks now so I can not comment on long-term reliability, and I have not setup the cooling function yet.
It has keyhole style indentations on the back so it can be mounted on a vertical surface.

I was previously using a terrarium controller, which only controls heat, and my exhaust was running constantly, which meant my heater was on almost constantly. With this amazing product my exhaust fan is now doing most of the work, kicking on about once per minute or two for a few seconds and my heater really only comes on at night when the lights are off. This is saving me a lot of money in electricity. More importantly, the temps in my grow room are super stable compared to before. The temps were swinging between 70 and 82 constantly throughout the day, now it stays between 76 and 80, with it mostly hanging around 78, and at the high/low ends it comes back to 78 very very quickly, whereas before it took some time and never really stabilized.
This controller is perfect for a grow room. Your "tomato" plants will thank you and your wallet will thank you when your electricity bill comes in.
The only issue I have is that I didn't notice they have 15 amp controllers for sale as well. I'd rather have those as my heaters are pushing close to the 10 amps on their low settings. The 15 amp model would allow me to set them on high.
Also, I noticed one of the controllers was reading about 6 degrees lower than the actual temp. However, you can easily calibrate it by changing the CA value. For me, I set it to -6 and now it's perfectly accurate.
It doesn't provide the tight control over temperatures that a dedicated Sous Vide controller provides. It doesn't seem to have the "smarts" to learn how high the "bounce" is. The temperature in the pot continues to rise, after the heating element has been turned off. This controller doesn't seem to learn to shut off the heating element early, so as to achieve tighter temperature control.
Because of this, even when set to a 0.1 degree range, the temperature varies by as much as 1.0 degrees, where my dedicated Sous Vide controller would manage an actual 0.1 degree.
That said, this costs 1/3 what the Sous Vide controller did. And truth is, 1.0 degree accuracy is sufficient for most Sous Vide.
After using this for a few weeks, I'm retracting my concerns about how tightly it controls the temperature. When it's first turned on, it seems to swing by as much as 1/2 degree or more, but over time it seems to settle in on a much narrower range. I have some salmon cooking, right now, with the temperature set to 120. It's been swinging from 119.8 to 120.2.
