I bought three...one worked twice...one made it all the way up to about 5 cycles! The third didn't even bother getting dressed for the occasion. They are supposed to turn on when water conducts current through two exposed leads inside the chamber (at least that what seems to be the design). When the water shuts off, the water should vacate the chamber, the LED should stop. Sounds easy enough. And, yes, one of them did work for a few cycles. But, then the things decide that all that turning on and off is too confusing. Let's just stay on, shall we! If it does continue to cycle, then you better get your thick-skin on because the temperature sensitivity is set so that "Red" activates somewhere near boiling (okay, that's an exaggeration but only a slight one.). Oh, and don't get me started on the ridiculous threading. You'll do some serious "counting to 10" when you try to thread any of the connections together. It's like playing "operation..." you'll need an incredibly steady hand. And when you get it just right, the little boogers strip with only a tiny bit of tightening. Duct tape would work better. It wouldn't be as pretty, but there wouldn't be all the leaking. I'm thinking I might hang onto them and drop them in the toilet bowl next time I throw a party. Might be cool to have glowing water in the bowl. When people ask if I dropped a flashlight in there, I can say "no, it's just a glowing piece of @#$%."...because that pretty much sums things up.
Update: VERY IRRITATED that seller read this and came to me to say oh, we just checked with our supplier and the description is wrong it is supposed to do what you have, not what it says in the listing. They asked me to take back the negative comment. I won't, it was incorrectly advertised when I bought it. And we put it in the guest bath that doesn't get much use. It has already started to leak and spray the user. Also, I have to turn on the water almost full blast to get it to work and that is a waste of water.
Fact : It takes three batteries. Two sets are included. One inside the device and another in the packaging.
Claim : ‘Provide two different adapters, fit most of faucet taps.’
Fact : It comes with 2 adapters, neither of which fit any of my faucets. They are made of flimsy plastic. So far I have not been able to find an adapter that will work for any of my faucets.
Claim : ‘When water temperature is between 33 Centigrade to 41 Centigrade, it turns green color.’
Fact : So far I have not been able to get it to turn green at all.
Claim : ‘When water temperature is more than 46 Centigrade, it is flashing, which remind you be careful.’
Fact : Does turn Red when hot but so far have not been able to get it to flash red.
For < $4 I did not expect much. This is made out of flimsy plastic which if I could get it to hook to a faucet, I would not expect it to stay attached for very long as it sticks down more than 2 inches and I expect it would be bumped frequently. Especially with children. I fastened it to a faucet with duct tape for testing. It does turn red when the water is hot and blue when the water is not hot, but no flashing red when very hot or green when moderate temperature. The light does not turn on all of the time with water and frequently stays on after the water is turned off. The FEATURES lists ‘No battery needed, it is powered by the pressure of water.’ This was the main reason I purchased this. It is NOT TRUE. It does require batteries (3). And it comes with two sets (One installed and one in the packaging.)
I am very disappointed in the misleading and outright lies listed in the Product Details.
