this is such a profound series. it brings insight as to how many warriors must have felt during and after battle. the descriptions of the land take me to a world I do not know but that I can feel and sense. fantastic.
With the Sela children still scattered around the empire what is to become of them? Trying to rally the rally the rebellion to stand up to Porcia will they succeed? With Porcia so much worse than Marcus she can't be allowed to to continue her reign of terror. Will unlikely alliances mean her end or is it just the beginning? And what has that sneaky rat Seneca been up too? Him and Portia go head to head in the greatest case of sibling rivalry I've ever seen....
So much action in this latest installment. I can't wait for the next book. Gimme more!!!!
The amazing characters lead the action as the families of Octavius and Sela duel for dominance. The realistic combat sequences draw you in with exquisite detail. I love these characters and hate their difficulties, but that's what makes the story!
I love a story that you hate to put down, and you can't wait to get back into it. I love a character so richly and vibrantly described that you know exactly who they are. Both qualities combine in this series, and I can't help but feel that you'll agree with me that this is a terrific read!
