REVIEW: I absolutely love this series. I fell in love with the first one and just had the opportunity to read the second book in the series. I have to say that this novel is sweetly written, with lots of steamy sections. The steamy sections are genuine and gently compared to other novels I’ve read. It’s nice to read a story where the steamy parts are valued, but not the sole focus.
The story between Bree and Owen is one of the simple love stories that starts from when they were teenagers (pre-teen for Bree), even though at that time it was only one sided. It carries Bree through some extremely difficult situations.
This story is also about family. How families are rooted together and stand together/protecting each other. It takes Bree a while to reconnect to her Irish family, but once she is does, she is finally home.
A HIGHLY recommended read!
I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters in this story and I loved how it was written in a way that you can’t help but feel a little Irish when you’re reading it! I would highly recommend this story to anyone!
Owen, the brother who’d suffered a head injury in the last book, also has difficulties with trust. What I found a little weird was how his injury and so forth wasn’t mentioned much at all in this one. His communication skills must have suffered. While both characters’ assumptions about each other’s motivations play a huge part in it, the coincidence level of interruptions during their vital conversations reached ridiculous levels at times.
Bree comes across as not necessarily *cold*, her inner thoughts betray that, but her outside actions do. I do wish there’d been more detail about her ordeals with Frank, her ex-stepfather and her mother, and have her *discuss* what she went through. To me, that was a big hole in the story.
This is me being nit-picky, however. It’s a good read, we get to revisit characters from the first book, see what’s going on with them, too, and have a preview of what’s possibly going to happen with Shane, the happy-go-lucky-manwhore in the band.
They make a choice to just let whatever happens happen. Until Owen figures out almost too late that he is in love with her. He has found out everything that was holding him back from telling her he loves her. Bree decides to go back to the states and face her fate. When she returns her past slaps her at the door of her apartment door but what she gets is not anything she could have ever expected.
Owen decides he must go after the women he loves. He goes to Detroit to find her, only to find the is gone yet again. When he returns home, utterly lost, he finds the best surprise awaiting.
Can Owen and Bree make the life neither of them knew existed work?
Reading Owen and Bree's story was an absolute pleasure. I dare say when I get a little none ARC reading time I will be reading both Wild Irish and Tempting Irish again. Thank you C.M. for letting read all your books. I love them. This book is tale of 2 people utterly lost in their lives until they find each other again many years later. It will make you believe in love again.

I also like that emotions are portrayed and not just explicit sex.
Can't wait for Shane' s story hopefully the accident in the hotel room will bring him to his knees!
Recommend to anyone who likes a story that is not sickly sweet, a struggle to reach their HEA.
Arriving at a hotel where she knows they are staying, she bumps into Owen, the man she has loved from afar since she was a girl. But he doesn't recognise her, having last seen her as a twelve year old.
She has loved him forever, but Bree's life has been hard ever since her mother dragged her to the USA, uprooting her from her beloved Dublin and the people who mean the world to her.
Owen has had a meteoric career with rock band Wild Irish. Fame, money and women have been his, yet he is lonely.
Meeting a beautiful woman at the hotel and having the chance to spend a night with her is intriguing, until he discovers it is little Beatrice, all grown up.
Although they can't deny the chemistry, the two have a lot of sorting out to do before they can find their happy ending.
A wonderful, easy read with endearing characters and a bit of heat.
