I purchased this pillow to replace my 10 - 15 year old Tempurpedic, same model, same measurements. Purchased first one at Cherry HIl NJ Relax the Back store. The old one has traveled near and far with me. This is an investment at such a high price so I finally took the plunge. This new one is so light weight, flimsy, not nearly the amount or quality of fill as the original even with the 10 plus years wear. The old one is still better quality than the new one even with years of wear! The indented area of the new sinks right to the surface. I am soooo disappointed in Tempurpedic! Will look for another brand in the future.

I guess the pillow is made so dense in order to meet all the factory requirements. Either that or they have changed the requirements over the years.
I've slept on this same type of pillow for 15 yrs and it was always perfect, which is the reason I ordered this one.
When I ordered & received this pillow, I slept on it one nite and my spine was very sore for 2 days.
There was no choice of softness/firmness in the ordering options.
I'm a 76 year old Woman in good health with the exception of neck issues that require Chiropractic attention once in awhile.
I am going to keep it in hopes of somehow working with it over a time period for better results.

Not the same as older models

I've owned one of these pillows for about 7 years.
This new version is not as conforming and feels like the cheaper foam you'd find in a couch cushion instead of the signature Tempur-pedic foam. I returned this one and bought one from the Tempur-pedic website, and the result was the same. This new one is much stiffer and appears to be made of different foam than my older pillow. I also have a mattress, and the foam layer at the top of the mattress feels like the foam of my old pillow. The foam of my new pillow feels like the layer at the bottom of the mattress. I wouldn't recommend buying this if you're used to the older version.

If you’re looking for memory foam that doesn’t just sink in and you don’t mind sleeping on something that feels stiffer than a pillow then GET THIS.

I bought one of the Kamat (or whatever it is) brand “pillows”. It was the worst. This pillow is ACTUALLY what it claims to be. It supports your neck or face or whatever by actually being made of good memory foam. I just can’t say enough about how much better these pillows are than the other brands. It’s night and day. You’re wasting money (like I almost did) buying the other brands so you can save a few bucks. This is something I use every night so I think it’s worth 2-3x what those other pillows cost (I only spent about $25 on this). Just do yourself a favor and get it.

This pillow is a masterpiece of all the best Tempur-Pedic features and technology. The amazing memory foam and the cooling technology together in a neck pillow form is the trifecta of pillows. I've been sleeping on a cheap memory foam pillow for 10 years, and finally decided to try a high quality pillow, and the results are extraordinary. You get what you pay for, and it shows in this pillow. It's not too firm, not too soft, and it's extremely cool to to the touch when laying down. I also bought the Tempur-Pedic cloud breeze dual sided cooling pillow but it was WAY too big of a pillow and too high of a profile. If you like a nice sized compact pillow that will give you amazing support and cooling, buy this with confidence. I will definitely buy a 2nd one, you don't want to miss how amazing this thing is.

If you want your spine aligned when you are in bed, THIS is the pillow. Get the size of the cervical pillow you need. It makes a difference! While on your back, your nose should be pointed at the ceiling above your head, not at the seam of the ceiling and wall across the room. Your airways should be open.

We bought our original Temperpedic pillows at a Home Show at least 20 years ago. I recently noticed it was as uncomfortable, especially while on my side. Guess what...they were getting flat.
I started testing memory foam pillows. Every single one was returned. Most of them were too high in the cervical area...you'd need to be 6'3" or taller to have the bolster be that high!
I've ordered 2 of these, Large for hubby, Medium for me. Mine has arrived, and he loves it. Considers it the best of all the pillows we've tried. Today I realized it is my pillow. I just slept on it...so much better than what I was using, with which I wake up with back pain every morning. No pain today!
Ergo Temperpedics are great for side sleeping and for back sleeping. It is a standard sized pillow (20" long) not a queen (26" long).
Differences from the original pillow: no indent for your neck, not as long (above), lighter weight, not reliant on your body heat to soften. Formulations have improved in 20 years!
I do wish it was longer, but that would increase the cost. Even at 20" sleeping on my side was as easy as rolling over. :-D

I got the medium cooling version of the pillow. It is good for my profile. I love how even if it feels uncomfortable if I place my head correctly initially, I feel the foam adjust itself around my neck till it becomes comfortable. I am able to fall asleep on it on my back as well as on my side. It's been a while since I felt rested, but finally I feel like I have been getting a good nights rest. As someone who would pretty much always wake up with a neck pain in the middle of the night and would throw their pillow off the bed and then try to sleep on their arm, I can truly appreciate this pillow for the rest and comfort it's brought back to my sleep. And I love the cooling feeling around my neck and head as well.. But I don't know if that's for everyone.

I have previously bought 4 Tempur pillows and they are all amazing and worth their prices.
This pillow "2018 edition" is horrible.
First, it arrived frozen(because of the weather), and in a plastic bag. Usually, Tempur pillows arrive in a nice Tempur box.
It took some time for a pillow to gain back its softness.
I have been using it for 3 weeks and the smell did not go away.
Also compared to other Tempur pillows I bought, this one seems to have a low quality with respect to gaining back its shape after using.
I am not sure if that is part of damage caused by the frozen state it arrived in.

Yes it is small, but even worse the material is junk. There is no support at all, just cheap mushy nonsense. To those with glowing reviews, go to a brick & mortar store and touch a real Tempurpedic pillow and compare it with this thing. Don't waste your time as I did.

Too Firm for combination sleepers!

I have severe neck arthritis, and stenosis, which lead me to this pillow. I tried this pillow twice. The first time, the foam seemed a bit lumpy so I decided to send the defective pillow back and try a new one. The second time, I found the pillow to be too firm to lay on my side. I am a combination, back and side sleeper, when I laid on my side, my spine was aligned right, however it caused a lot of soreness and pain on my ear. When I turned on my back, I found the curve to be too high for my spine, it was tilting my neck way too back.

I’ve used this pillow for a few months now. It took a few nights to get used to but it’s really worthwhile. I used to sleep on feather pillows and it always gave me neck or shoulder ache.

This pillow is very nicely supportive. It’s quite firm so you’ll need to get used to it. There are two neck heights! As a short, petite person, I use the side with the shorter neck height with no problem.

I’m a mostly back and sometimes side sleeper. Sleeping on the side is a little bit awkward because your arm can’t really go under the pillow easily. But I don’t consider it a deal breaker.
