“The Ten Day Banker” is mindful of a verse in the Ecclesiastes book of the Bible which the author referred me to many years ago, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again , there is nothing new under the sun.” In essence, the book is a compendium of many of the author’s prior publications. Although the title suggests it is for bankers, given its comprehensive nature, it appears to be an invaluable information resource for not only anyone directly engaged in, or indirectly involved with, the financial industry, but also for educational purposes and a guide to further research.
Tracing the history of finance over the last fifteen millennia, a reader can derive an informed knowledge of both the nature and pitfalls that befell the many systems and methods of yore, and those used by the modern “sophisticated” systems and methodology. Accordingly, the book should clearly illustrate the wisdom of the foregoing Biblical citation, and as recited by Solomon.
