I am pushing my son to do it. He won't and it's upsetting me since I know how quick and efficient it is. I need to write some sentences that will help me with him. Lol
I cannot say enough... it truly is a quick read & quick exercise with amazingly quick results.
This one sensibly tells you that you can improve your life in a meaningful way (if you follow the author's instructions). Is it true or just more hype? I can only tell you from my own experience. It is true that the techniques are simple. It is also true that it can make a noticeable difference. But don't expect a change if you don't put the effort into it. In the beginning, realistically it's going to take more than ten minutes, but not much more. But I found that each day the time required to write the statements lessened. When I was more specific in my writings, that seemed to help too. I've only been at it for a relatively short time, but if my past progress is any indication of the future, then I'll stick with it.
Dr. Snyder's words have a strong of ring of authenticity to me. Apparently she knows her subject well.

This book is an easy read and the techniques described are easy to follow.
Cognitive behaviour therapy is well recognised in the psychological world and backed up by scientific research.
I use similar methods very effectivey with hypnosis. In my humble opinion adding this would be a great complement to the meditation section.
An easy read and easy to do. Highly recommended.
